The Moore House in was excellent. Easy check in/out. House had tons of character, and sits right next to the river with a great porch. Love hearing the water at night. Short, easy drive to Snowshoe. Coffee was fully stocked and we had fun playing their card games. Comfy bed. We look forward to staying here again.

When we arrived home from our trip, my son said, 2024 was the best year and that he loved our trip to West Virginia and our stay at the Moore House Inn. I said that I was glad he liked it. He replied, no mom...I loved it!!! The Inn is wonderful and the owners are friendly, welcoming and all-around super!! My son and their children had so much fun playing together. And it was snowing the morning we left...it was perfect ❄️
I highly recommend staying at the Moore House Inn--it is worth every moment!!!

We have now stayed at the Inn twice and absolutely loved our stay!! The hosts are kind and hospitable and truly think of your comfort while you are there! The little town of Marlinton is safe and sweet and we loved driving around the countryside - it is beautiful! For such a quiet little town there is much to do in the surrounding outdoors for hiking, biking and exploring - and certainly great skiing not far either! Both the inn and cabins are charming and cozy and are immaculately clean. There is new ownership in the last year or so and they are so dedicated to making the best stay possible for their guests and it from talking to them they have so many great plans for the future! They had many great recommendations for us and were extremely responsive to our needs. 11/10 will be visiting again!

A good solid place to stay. Clean and in a charming location. Very motorcycle touring friendly: The driveway includes a short wooden bridge over a creek, and an excellent traction strip was installed in the center. Breakfast was basic self-service, but very adequate. The bathroom was a little small but big enough. Nice porches to hang out on. The only negative I noticed was a little wood smoke in our room. If you have asthma or other respiratory issues it could be a serious problem. The house and its hot water are heated with a wood-fired boiler.

My son and I had a really nice stay at Moore Inn. The proprietors were extremely friendly and helped us get oriented to the area. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast exceeded my expectations. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future!

So, I'll begin by stating that my wife and I celebrated our 15 yr Anniversary here and were not displeased at all! The establishment and hosts were very accomadating. The rooms were very clean. I literally felt like I was staying at a relatives house, the one you could trust. Breakfast selections were various. Pastries, cereal (hot and cold), yogurt, fresh fruit,etc all of high quality and were suitable to get you something quick in your system to get you on-the- go. The house was easy to find and had a vantage point to get to the many outdoor attractions to the surrounding area. I would highly recommend and look forward to future trips!|Sincerely, |JW

A quiet, cozy stay in a perfectly renovated, historical setting; complete with appropriate period, beautiful antiques. Sheets were amazingly soft, and we could open the window to let fresh air in for a good sleep!
The innkeeper was gracious and welcoming ……. look forward to a return stay in the future.
