Great restaurant in Whalers Village, it is quite popular so try to get there early during happy hour. They do move people quick so the wait list is never as long as it looks. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s lively and they also have live music all day/night. The service was good, attentive but the waiter did forget one of our pizza orders. Deserts were amazing, highly recommend the coconut cream pie it was delicious. Overall, highly recommend and would go back again!

I wasn't overly impressed by this place. We tried a few of their cocktails along with some appetizers and mains, but nothing stood out as particularly unique or special. The cocktails were pretty standard, the kind you’d find at most places. The food was decent but didn’t leave a lasting impression either.

The atmosphere felt a bit cramped, especially since the place was quite crowded with tourists and visitors. The seating area wasn’t the cleanest either, as the chairs seemed a bit dirty.

On a positive note, they do have live music, which could add some ambiance if you're into that. However, for me, it didn't make up for the lackluster experience overall.

Loved the monkey pod in Oahu and was amazed by the food, and was excited to try here at Kanapali, Maui! Tried the vegetarian options - Vegan Tortilla soup and mushroom and truffle oil hand tossed pizza during happy hour. Both were in appropriate proportion and delicious. Ambience and vibe is unparalleled. Due to being happy hour, food was discontinued. Service and staff excellent! Would love to try again and highly recommend.

Everyone I met kept telling us how much they love this place and I worried if I walked in with too much of a high expectation. I'm glad to say it didn't disappoint and it was the perfect way to enjoy our Christmas honeymoon meal! We love pizza and some greens so we went with the pineapple pork pizza. My husband doesn't eat pork but they were able to put that on the side for us to both enjoy. The salad was great too and so was this dumpling! Service was great as well as the ambience. We got to see the sunset by sitting on the end of the restaurant which is where we wanted to get a bit quieter with music. But if you like live music go to the center part of the restaurant with nice ambience. Reservation is a must. Enjoy your meals. Thanks for the wonderful time! Can't wait to return here!

Food was good, drinks were pricey but strong enough to only have to order 1. Cast iron shrimp was the best thing we had. Pizza was just okay. Monkeypod drinks were pretty strong and just okay. Our bill was over $250 for these 6 items & drinks. I don't think I'll be back but worth a try to say I went.

Awesome spot for lunch! While not on the beach like some of the other restaurants, we were sat in the outdoor section and still got a great view of the ocean. We ordered some beers which are served at an ice cold 29 degrees. I really wish every restaurant/bar served them this way because it really does make a difference. For food we got the Kalua Pork and Pineapple Pizza and the Maui Cattle Company Cheeseburger. Both were really good!

Busy restaurant that has a great menu and vibe. Our service wasn't that great, which made the premium prices stand out. I appreciate how difficult it can be for a busy restaurant, but we went through the meal without any drink refills and order mistakes, sending food back to the kitchen.

Monkeypod at Whalers Village Kaanapali Beach is simply outstanding.
Food and service we have had here has always been really good and tasty.
Went again and it was really excellent again. The space is very open, yet has some distinct differentiation in seating and areas. Bar is super attractive with great swivel chairs, and most places in store have great view of ocean.
Our server Brenda was very helpful, nice and patient, we always ask a lot of questions and talk a lot, she was awesome.
To start we had the Rosemary Grilled Chicken Wings and they were fantastic. Also had Poke Tacos, only thing we had th hat was so so.
For Dinner we had
Bulgolgi Pork Tacos, Monchong Fish Sandwich, Gnocchi, Maui Cattle Burger for mains, and they were all truly beautifully prepared and delicious. We added sides of Jalapeño Spinach Mashed, Corn Bread and Brocolli and yes, they were also all fabulous, like amazing delicious and plentiful. Was just a great dining experience and we enjoyed ourselves the entire time.

All the food was definitely farm-to-table fresh. The gnocchi pasta was absolutely delicious and the pork tacos packed a punch. Mai Tai’s were refreshing and had perfect flavor. The T.B.D drink was weirdly delicious, though I couldn’t really figure out the flavors. The banana cream pie was the perfect dessert to top off the night. We will definitely be coming back before our trip is over.

Monkeypod Kitchen in Kaanapali is a great spot for a casual meal with solid food and a fun vibe. The pizza is one of the best we had on the island—crispy crust and fresh toppings. The fish tacos are also a favorite—really flavorful and perfectly cooked. The drinks are well made, and there’s usually live music which adds to the atmosphere. Service was friendly and pretty fast even when it was busy. It’s an easy place to relax after a beach day. Definitely a go-to if you’re looking for good food and a laid-back scene in Maui. We preferred this location to the other one in Wailea.

The food here is okay. The price you pay is not worth the food quality, but it's going to be the same almost everywhere around. The views if you get the ones facing the beach around sunset are nice. They don't take reservations and it's on a first come basis to get a table. They do play live music and you will have a nice time. The fries didn't taste good and tasted burnt mostly for some reason.

We were eating late our first night around 8pm. 45 minute wait but they text you so you can go shop around the stores. Huge shopping outdoor mall style to spend your time. The food was amazing! The server was amazing! She had recommendations and was very attentive. Live music was fantastic. Even with it being a little loud in the restaurant, we could talk with each other easily. Food didnt take long to come out and was delicious. Would recommend to everyone. Seemed to be friendly to all ages.
