I've left a previous positive review with pictures and see it's not here. So I guess that gives another positive review, 6 months apart, even more weight.
Again, the best blended smoothies throughout the USA! It's not just the flavors, it's the BLEND. I've never had smoothies blended so fine and almost fluffy.
The white chocolate mocha is better than any in the western side of the USA. The London Fog beats ANY big commercial coffee house.
The red bull smoothie with protein milk is the bomb.

Whether you are visiting, or a permanent resident, If you want an awesome coffee, THIS IS THE PLACE!

A quaint shack that serves coffee, specialty drinks, and food, Mocha Dan's became a regular stop while we were in the Fairbanks area of Alaska. The barristas were super fun and friendly. They remembered us after the 2nd visit and asked if we wanted our regular. They seemed truly interested in what we had planned for the day and provided some suggestions.

The food was great considering the tiny space they had to work with. Pull up in whatever vehicle you are driving and get great coffee ☕️.

In the sea of drive up coffee shops, Mocha Dan's is a gem.

Get the BLT!!! So good. I'm sure their other food items are just as delicious. The service was so kind and I felt comfortable as soon as we pulled in. Cute and cozy cabin feel. Their coffee has a nice roast. I got the iced white mocha here. I will definitely be stopping here again.

The coffee at the location across from the university of Alaska is the best we’ve had in Fairbanks. It’s four miles from our hotel but we stop here every morning. We tried the “sunrise” chains but the coffee was just meh, very mediocre. Mocha Dans is very conveniently located at the entrance of the university that also leads to the Georgeson Botanical Garden and the Museum of the North, both great for laces to visit. The coffee is great and they also have a small lunch menu.

First & last visit. We stopped in for a quick bite and something drink. I found it inconvenient to not have access to a menu before arriving at the window. However, inconvenience was given into extreme exasperation upon reaching the window! The menu is mounted next to the window and in perfect view for drivers, but absolutely inconvenient for passengers. The barista asked to take our order, now this is where my blood began to boil and chills ran up my spine and I needed to adjust my neck to see the person speaking. At this moment, I was done with this whole experience, BUT I wasn't driving. My husband politely explained that we needed a minute as it was my first time there and I needed to look at the menu. Maybe it was my mom mode that picked this up, BUT she SIGHED! At my husband. By the time my neck snapped around and looked at her, all I saw was a side profile of a young woman hiding behind a veil of hair. She closed the window with so much passive aggressive energy that I was done. I would have left then and there. However, my very reasonable husband desperately needed to eat and we had a busy day ahead of us. When she came back and took the order, her behavior was cold and unwelcoming. He ordered a burrito and a smoothie and I ordered hot vanilla chai tea. When she came back to process the payment transaction and give over the order, her behavior had done a 180.
After we were leaving and arranging things, I mention that his burrito is really hot. It was difficult to hold even with the foil and napkin. We were not offered or given any bag or container for this product. I was literally playing "hot potato" with it. Once we were able to set it down and open it, it was disappointing. It's not correct to say it was burned because it wasn't darkened, but it was both crunchy and soggy with the center cold. He did say the salsa was a redeeming quality, however, he ended up wearing quite a bit of it and due to the runny eggs, that was his last straw.
I followed my instincts on not ordering coffee and ordered vanilla chai tea instead. Enter Princess Pettiness. After telling my husband that his burrito seemed excessively hot, he told me that he was concerned about my drink. I told him that I wasn't and I didn't think it was hard to mess up. He explained that he watched her make it and was sure she put too much powder in it. I am an excessive person, this is rarely a problem for me. Yep. I was wrong. First issue is that it barely qualified as luke warm. Secondly, I regretted drinking it immediately. I don't quite know how to explain the assault on my tongue and taste buds but there is lasting damage several hours later. That awful bitter taste that allows for no savory enjoyment for days to come.
This was my first experience with this company. I have heard more positive reviews about other locations.
On a personal note, I have heard wild stories about Alaska and in some ways that it differs from the lower 48 but I don't think I have ever seen a person with waist length hair in any industry but especially food industry be allowed to work without it being restrained. I found it completely unappealing.
