We had the most delicious sandwiches here! Tuna melt on gluten free bread and a chicken salad on sourdough. Had a delicious matcha latte and covered my partner’s elderberry iced tea so much, I ordered one for myself. 💜💜

Very casual cute breakfast place! They have many teas, coffees, went smoothies. I had the cardinal breakfast sandwich and it was GREAT! If you’re around looking for a quick friendly tasty breakfast, this is it!

I ordered the roasted beet salad and the elderberry iced tea. The salad was delicious, if not a little more heavily dressed than I would have made on my own. The ingredients tasted fresh and the balance of beets to greens to cheese crumbles was perfect. The elderberry tea was a bit strong for me upon first taste, and we solved that problem by bringing a glass of ice water to enjoy alongside it.

This was my first visit and I look forward to trying more of the menu. I felt the prices were a little on the high side for the serving size, but the flavor was good and the service was great. The chef checked in on me several times.

Stopped by on our 15th wedding anniversary. Had the bagel and lox (one of my favorite breakfasts) and it was by far the best I've ever had. Each ingredient was purposeful and balanced. In I'll come back to Shepardtown just for this!

Our friends know the owner and shared with us how much care and effort they pour into the place, sourcing local foods and baking their bread fresh at a nearby bakery with high-quality ingredients.

Great first time experience! I love Shepherdstown and everytime I'm visiting I try to dine at a new place each time. Very glad I finally got to try this little gem! Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Ok a cold rainy day I had to go with the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and included the ham and brie with the soup du jour, a mushroom sherry soup. The soups were extremely flavorful! The tomato was by far the best I've ever had! The owner/chef makes his own infused oils, and the tomato soup had the basil infused oil while the mushroom soup had scallion infused oil. It's amazing what that little detail could do to the flavor of the soup! The sandwiches were outstanding and tasted extremely fresh! I really hope to make it in early enough sometime to try their breakfast as well. Very welcoming and quaint cafe with a humble yet outstanding menu.

Soooo yummy! Chef went above and beyond to give us wonderful customer service and delicious food. Our dirty chai’s and sandwiches were sooooo wonderful. Everything about the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful lunch today! I had the beet salad and my husband had the kale apple salad. Both were excellent, as was the coffee!! Highly recommend!!
