If you get one thing out of this review let it be this, Kellan and Hunter will go above and beyond for you. They were absolutely AMAZING for our January wedding. We had our wedding in a snow storm and they were ON TOP OF EVERYTHING!! 10/10 venue, 1000000/10 staff. Thank you Misty Mountain! We loved having our big day here, and yall made it that much better!

Picking a wedding venue, well any wedding vendor, can be extremely challenging. You worry that whoever you pick might try to gouge you and add on extra fees or ghost you throughout the planning process or not get your vision and your day won't be what you had pictured, the list goes on and on. You put a lot of trust in people you only meet once or communicate with via email before signing a contract. I can tell you with complete certainty that you will have to worry about none of these things if you choose Misty Mountain to host your event. I had my wedding here on 6/29/2024 and from the get go I knew they had everything under control. Hunter is THE ABSOLUTE BEST and he only hires the absolute best to work with him. Any small issue I had or any question I needed answered he was on top of it immediately and made sure the right people contacted me ASAP.
I emailed Misty Mountain and inquired for more information and got an email back in 5 minutes WHO DOES THAT?!?! They worked with me to schedule an in person visit to the venue and I fell in love as soon as we drove up. The barn is beautiful and VERY well air conditioned - literally the perfect place to have a summer wedding because so many venues we looked at didn't have AC. The outdoor space is absolutely incredible - the pictures don't do it justice you have to go out and see it. I had SO MANY GUESTS ask how we found this place and say that they have never been to such a beautiful venue which says a lot because we had a wide variety of guests - some that enjoy the finer things in life and some that don't own a suit. Everyone was absolutely thrilled with the venue which is nearly impossible for a group like ours. We've already had so many calls and texts asking for us to get married every year - that's how much our guests loved it.

Misty Mountain also offers day of coordinating services and DJ/announcing for a small additional fee and I HIGHLY recommend you add them both on to your package. Not only does it take a few things off your plate with wedding planning but the people you will be working with through Misty Mountain are better than anyone you could hire privately, I promise. Our coordinator, Makenzie, and our DJ, Peyton, were absolutely outstanding. They care about your wedding like it is their own and offer suggestions based on your likes and dislikes and what they have seen that works well or doesn't work at other weddings they have worked but most importantly they make sure your day is EXACTLY what you want.

We also went with the catering service that Misty Mountain offers and, again, HIGHLY recommend. Cathy's mac and cheese is the best I've ever had (and I LOVE mac and cheese) and the wedding cake she made us was incredible. I don't love sweets and her vanilla cake with peaches in the middle blew my mind! Poor Matt was out at the smoker in the heat but his pulled pork, chicken quarters and homemade BBQ sauce were all a HUGE hit. We figured we would have to go to a few tastings to decide which caterer we wanted to go with and as soon as we got back in the car after tasting Matt and Cathy's food we knew we didn't have to look any further.

I seriously cannot recommend this place enough - everyone that works there is kind, energetic, so willing to help, and they all have the best sense of humor. They all check in with you AND your guests throughout the event to make sure everything is going well and everyone has what they need. Hunter brought me drinks during the reception so I could sit and enjoy myself and not worry about running to get it myself. What other venue owner would not only check in on you throughout the night but also get what you need himself

If you don't end up booking at Misty Mountain you're making a mistake because they will absolutely do everything in their power to ensure your day is perfect and EXACTLY what you want. You WILL NOT find a better venue or a better group of people!!

We attended our nephew's wedding. In a way I'm glad they couldn't find a venue for their wedding and reception in northern VA because this facility and location were extra special. Scenic area; lovely drive there. The event barn had a great place for the ceremony and catered a great meal. Beautiful decorations and architecture. Nice little touches like s'mores with various candies like peanut butter cups and peppermint patties. The fountains in the ponds lit up at night and what a mountain view!

First time catering an event here and I couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations the venue provides for vendors, and the professionalism shown by staff and ownership. Just an amazing setting, and so much thoughtfulness and care put into every detail.
