Was recommended this place because of the gluten free options. Was not disappointed. The food is good the service is great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. While the food is a little pricey the lunch special is a great values. The price of the food is matched by the quality of the food and service which I think presents amazing value for customers. Will be coming back.

My favorite place for Fried Fish in Wisconsin for sure! I’m from Brazil and every time I’m homesick I ended up there to eat my whole fried fish! The food is always delicious and consistent (something hard to find in Madison). Highly recommended!

I had the half chicken with both salted and sweet plantains—and wow, everything was outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked: moist, juicy, and packed with flavor. But the real stars were the plantains—salty, sweet, and savory all at once. Each bite brought me straight to the heart of Peruvian comfort food. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

The food is excellent. I ordered a quarter chicken, that was tender, juicy and flavorful. Along with that I had 2 sides- fried rice and stir fry veggies. The rice is delicious, loaded with flavor but not greasy like take out fried rice. The veggies were well cooked and still had crunch to them.
I tried one of both types of empanadas- both amazing and tasty in their own right.
Friends dinner of a pork dish was also delicious. Super tender pork.

A friend and I stopped here on a whim and I'm so glad we did! The food is absolutely amazing and I will be back. I had the jerk pork fried rice and know it will be something I crave in the future. My friend had the empanadas which she said were also very good! We also shared yucca fries which were delicious. We got dessert tarts and empanadas to go as well and were not disappointed.

My coworker and I work nearby so we decided to give Mishqui Cocina Peruana a try because we saw great reviews. We got delivery and it was delivered nicely and quick but the food was not as advertised.

We ordered:

Half chicken: It was flavorless and undercooked. The skin was not crispy but chewy and seemed to have been boiled or steamed. No spices as described and left my coworker and I disappointed.

Tostones: What we got was very average and underwhelming.

Empanadas: These saved the day as they were cooked perfect.

Roasted Corn: These were likable too.

We wanted to like this restaurant and make it a place we will frequent but something as easy as chicken that was not cooked the way like it was described leaves a lot to be desired. Don't know if we will ever try this restaurant again.

Incredible food! Great atmosphere and excellent service. I recommend the tacu tacu stir fry chicken and the Colombian empanadas!!
