Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan .Amazing trip arranged by MIR ,the guides were superb, many places were relatively undiscovered gems such as the devils gate ( overnighting in a yurt ),Khiva and Bukhara. What a blast ,seamless transfers, great accommodations and sites ,I cannot wait for the next adventure .

MIR Travel – Mongolia Golden Eagle Festival

This was our fourth group trip with MIR. With it we also included our fourth private tour with MIR, this one to South Korea prior to Mongolia. Every trip with MIR has been exceptionally rewarding.
Ulaanbaatar is a fascinating capital city with vibes of Genghis Khan, Marco Polo, dinosaur hunters, traditional music and arts, upscale dining, and strolling among some of the finest cashmere we have ever seen (at the best of prices). Given the distances we traveled within Mongolia, it was always satisfying to return to Ulaanbaatar. Beyond helping us at airports and hotels, our MIR guide provided an interesting array of places to visit and walks to take, always providing us with new and interesting aspects of the city.
As we had no preconceptions of either the Gobi Desert in the south of Mongolia or Bayam-Ulgii Province in the mountains of the westernmost province, we were absolutely delighted with our gers, the truly personable staff who took care of us, our remarkable drivers, and the excellent meals. We felt spoiled beyond measure. We had no idea there was so much to see and experience in the Gobi. And the Golden Eagle Festival was an experience of a lifetime.

I went on the 5 stans trip as a single. Perfectly safe countries. Extremely interesting history ad Mir really gives you the details. We learn all about the Roman Empire, but there are so many other equally big ancient civilizations. I’d encourage everyone to explore Central Asia, - I felt fair safer there than in many US cities.

I went on a private tour of Mongolia and then, a small group tour across the 'Stans.' MIR has been around for more than 30 years and truly is the best for those regions. They actually run almost all of the tours within the Stans though have flown slightly under my radar as people have been using them before internet reviews were really a thing :). Some people in my group have been with MIR for decades. MIR is a regional expert and you are in good hands with an amazing itinerary, where they can manage around any challenges that you can imagine may come up in some remote places. They have clearly been around the block and will make the trip the best it can be.
The trip to the Stans included many that are well traveled and all of us truly appreciated how professional MIR was. I highly recommend them. Literally, any 'name brand' tour in that region uses MIR to run their program. However, I think going with MIR directly is your best bet. I highly recommend!

Fantastic Company. Did 4 tours with MIR and hope to do more in the near future. They look after all the details; all you have to do is enjoy the trip. MIR guides are the best. They truly care about passenger safety and comfort. In addition to the educational experiences you have along the way it is also fun. Had lots of laughs on all the trips, and made some great friends/new travel buddies. MIR guides are very good at making unscheduled stops. We met locals on a daily bases and had some great photo opportunities.
Recently went to Saudi Arabia with MIR. They provide detailed visa instructions, and pre travel information for all tours. As a female traveler it felt 100% safe at all times. Ditto for the Oman tour.
The office staff provide world class personal service. Every question is taken seriously and addressed. Would not hesitate to recommend this professional company. Look forward to the next MIR tour.

I worked with MIR to plan a two-week trip to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia. The itinerary they designed was incredible! The accommodations were lovely, connections smooth, and the guides were knowledgeable and exceedingly pleasant. Overall the experience was exquisite. I recommend MIR very highly! If I could add a sixth star to the five-star rating, I would do so.
