Food was mediocre. Service was really great. Atmosphere kinda drab. But, I'd go back if I was in area again and felt like chinese.

Food is definitely tasteless. I ordered house lo mein and it tastes like spaghetti noodles out of the box. I was so disappointed to waste my money on this food.

This place was great at one time, back before it changed owners maybe 5 or 6 years ago. When Amy owned it, you couldn’t beat it. I would eat there at least 3 times a month. The new owners came in and changed some things, and not for the better. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. It’s still somewhat decent, but not near what it was.

Decent Chinese food option in Gardendale. Tried hot and sour soup (without sea food), chicken lo mein and sizzling chicken curry.

The soup was average at best in terms of taste and portion size. The lo mein and sizzling chicken curry was just ok, but the hot sauce elevated both the dish. With the hot sauce, I actually liked the lo mein. Felt the chicken curry was little slimy but taste good with the sauce.

The servers are nice and welcoming. Will visit again to try out other noodle dish and their signature dish like sweet and sour chicken/kun pao chicken.

Delicious, but I am confused. We ordered chow mein and one would expect noodles, but we were given a cabbage soup instead. I initially thought this was a mistake, but it happens anytime we specify "chow mein". I know they offer lo mein noodles, but chow mein usually are some sort of fried noodle dish, yeah? Maybe it's just a culture shock, but I have no clue why their chow mein is entirely different from every reference photo off Google. Anyway, their food is usually consistent and delicious. Love the pork fried rice and Mongolian beef!

I ordered from menu. Service was very good, and cheerful. Egg roll was the best I’ve had in Al. and Tn. Mei-fun had good flavor, but lacked in veggies.
Checked out buffet, very limited in offerings

All in all the best I’ve had since I moved to the south.

Been going here since I was a little kid. It feels like a historic part of town. Take out is the best option. The general tso chicken is amazing. The lunch buffet is ok but tend to run out or low on food when there is still an hour left of serving time . I don't generally hit up buffet unless i can catch it right as they open. Very friendly and fast when ordering take out

I’ve had a lot of bad Chinese, but this was a new low. It was like they tried to make it bland and as close to prison food as possible. This restaurant doesn’t deserve a 3 star rating, it doesn’t deserve to be open.
