I really enjoyed the spacious rooms. The fact that the room was located out of the main traffic area of the cruise ship foot traffic. And that you could walk anywhere in town within 5 minutes. The glasswork you might have to get a ride and the zip line but most everything else is with in walking distance.My only complaint would be not being able to use the internet to talk with my wife for the four days i was there. Outside of that I rate the place and management as a 10 being great. I'd recommend this place to anyone needing a peaceful place to stay.

Be very careful as you may think this was the wonderful bed and breakfast of a year ago but it has markedly changed. Although they use the old website that still says bed and breakfast on the booking page, there is no breakfast. Their information page does say that breakfast is provided as an "in room self-service amenity" that includes a "variety of coffee/tea options and seasonal snacks". However, all we got was out-of-date "Clif" bars and some coffee pods with a few sugar packages from random places and no creamer/milk. When I asked for some creamer for the coffee the response was negative -- "No -- just what's in the room". The bed was comfortable but the room had a funky/moldy smell to it after the smell of bleach had disappeared. The room was not private as the back door did not have a lock to keep staff/owners out. The TV worked OK but the WiFi was either very limited or not available. ||The poor hospitality and oddball breakfast "amenity" say I should give the Mile Zero a "Terrible" rating, but as the bed was OK and the TV worked, I give the place a "Poor" rating. Regardless, we will not return.

While the room was nice, any amenities were lacking. It is not a B & B Several we have been at on our trip had wonderful breakfasts with lots of choices. An out of date Cliff Bar left in the room is not what we expected. The internet service was extremely spotty. The hosts weren’t very personable. The price was excessive for what it was.

A Bed and Breakfast is supposed to have more than a Continental breakfast and certainly not less than a standard budget motel. We found the hospitality lacking. Our room was adequate and clean but nothing special. We expected a nicer experience for the price.

Tara and Sam made our experience so wonderful, I can't even sum it up in this post. My fiance and I were getting married (just us two) and I didn't know the first thing about preparations; Tara took photos for me, picked me some flowers from her garden for a bouquet and did my hair. She made my wedding 10 times better than I could have ever hoped! Their place is great, and they are such wonderful people...i highly recommend the stay here!

Nice room, very clean, but it shouldn't be billed as a Bed & Breakfast as breakfast consisted of a Clif Bar.||||Check in was ok but access was a bit cluttered as the owners (new I think) seemed to be getting ready for a garage sale.||||There was no hot water (lukewarm at best); the owner was apologetic and said they were working on getting it fixed.||||Overall, the place has potential but should be renamed and more attention paid to maintenance.

We stayed at Mile Zero for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming, the room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and extremely convenient given that there is an entrance out to a deck so we could come and go without risk of disturbing anyone. The rate was very reasonable especially for Skagway which has the tendency to exploit the captive market with high prices. Internet isn't included in the cost of the stay but is only $5/day. Its location isn't right down town (if such a term can be used for Skagway!) but it's a short walk from Broadway and the fact that it's slightly off of the main street is great if you want peace and quiet when the cruise ships bring in 10,000 people during the day! Breakfast was nice with a selection of bagels, English muffins, cereal and home made baked goods as well a juice and hot drinks. There are no kitchen privileges after breakfast but they do have a fridge and microwave on the deck out back that we used to reheat our food from Bombay Curry. I would highly recommend Mile Zero to anyone considering staying in Skagway and should I be fortunate enough to find myself there again I'll certainly be a repeat customer.
