Came in for dinner and don't know that I've ever been so disappointed with a restaurant. I ordered one of their specials, the chimichanga, and don't know that I've ever had worse tasting food in my entire life. The chimichanga was just filled with a little bit of cheese and chunks of unseasoned roast. That is NOT a chimichanga. Furthermore, the guacamole was nothing more than Wholly Gaucamole, and their salsa had an extremely bitter, rotten aftertaste.

When I raised my concern with the server, she told me I'd still be charged for the item because it's not her fault I didn't like the food, and, ultimately, nothing was actually wrong with it. Considering I ordered a chimichanga and got something nothing like it that tasted horrible, I would say it's their fault and not mine.

I ordered quesadillas as a different entree (after one bite of the chimichanga, I couldn't eat anymore). I should have learned my lesson about ordering Mexican food from them. The quesadillas were mediocre at best. Once again, the meat was completely unseasoned and had pretty much no flavor whatsoever.

Needless to say, I will never be back here and would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone. The other four people in my party were also very unimpressed with their meals. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

I was a little unsure about coming here because of the reviews but said hell with it after a long morning of fishing. We got seated right away, ordered food and drinks within 10 minutes. Waitress was by herself but did a nice job. Burgers were amazing and zucchini was good. They have beer on tap and wines. It was a good time.

This restaurant was a popular one with a long wait. We couldn't get a table on day 1 without reservations but came back at 5 pm on another day and were seated promptly. Vegetarian options were limited but tasty. The zucchini fries were great. Tried the beetroot with warm goat cheese, that was delicious too. Great selection of beer and wine. Good service. Check this place out if you are in the beautiful city of Valdez!

This place absolutely sucked back in 2019, and unfortunately we were forced to come back tonight because all the food trucks were closed early. Service is abysmal, food sucks and everything is overpriced. We waited over 15 minutes to even receive menus and everything went downhill from there. The whole experience took over 2 hours. Awful food all around. Burgers came out cold. Pasta was missing most ingredients and was molten hot in spots and cold in others, and our lava cake was still frozen in the middle. No one came to refill water, clear plates, check back or offer more drinks. Go eat cliff bars in your car before wasting your money here. So bad!

We visited Valdez at the very end of the summer season and the town had very few visitors in evidence. Our campground owner recommended the food trucks in the area and a couple of sticks-and-bricks restaurants. Because the whole time we were in Valdez was damp, chilly, and rainy, we wanted to eat lunch in a warm, dry place. We had already eaten at the recommended restaurants and did not want to repeat our visits or eat outside at the food trucks in the rain and chilly temps. So we did a dumb thing and walked into Mike’s Palace. There was one guy at the bar and no other patrons. The hostess/ server was friendly and attentive. The food was terrible. My husband ordered the day’s special: fish (cod) and chips and I ordered a cheese burger and fries. His lunch special cost $23 and my burger was around $20. What he got was 3 preformed and frozen fish cakes (remember Gorton’s from the box during your childhood?) and fries. I received a burger (think: the value packs of pre-formed burgers from a discount grocery store) with 2 squares of processed cheese food riding on top. Eating out is very expensive in Alaska, but we felt this meal really was at the bottom of the barrel for quality and flavor based on what we spent. The atmosphere made the whole experience worse. The dining room was paneled in dark wood, the seating was old, as was the carpeting underneath. The 1970’s disco music tract playing in the background was the icing on the cake for a really unpleasant dining experience.

Decent place. It was busy and took forever to get food/drinks. Went to use the bathroom and there was a weirdo in there saying it was "his bathroom" and kicked me out when there are two stalls and it's a multi-use bathroom. Brought it up to the waitress and they just shrugged it off and did nothing about it. The food was good when we finally got it. But the wait and the bathroom weirdo made it not worth it. Mostly the weirdo in the bathroom. Will not be returning.
