Very nice and quiet and safe place to stay. Nice clean rooms. Breakfast in the morning was great! Staff couldn’t have been any nicer. Will definitely be back.

I checked on the app with a picture of my DL and vehicle info. I had to walk back out to my car to get my license plate number again. This is the ONLY hotel I’ve ever been to that makes you go back out if you don’t know it. The guy at the counter at night is definitely not friendly. Last time I stayed there was no hot water in the building and I was not told until I arrived for check in. This time I had no hot water AGAIN to shower in the morning. Thankfully the overnight/morning guy found me another room to take a shower in. Definitely a better representation of who I’d want working and training people. Very apologetic for the water issue and helpful. But overall the place is ran down, cheaply maintained with holes in the ceiling and walls in both the hallways and rooms. It’s decently clean but hairs everywhere. Overall it’s not the worst I’ve stayed in but could have spent $20 more and got much better bang for your buck.

The staff was pleasant, thank you. The room clean and the bed comfortable. However, the property leaves much to be desired. Nothing like many of the pictures shown. One pane of the double pain window has been broken a long time. Heat worked, but the thermostat didn’t so it was hot or off. Hot water took several minutes to get all the way down to our room, wasting a lot of water because the hot water recirculating pump was broken. WiFi was almost nonexistent, the signal too weak and intermittent to get anything done online. Many patched areas on walls half done and needing paint. Buckets collecting rain water in the lobby. Next trip we’ll plan to stop at a different spot along the way.

Guys at the front desk were very unprofessional. However did get us checked in. The lobby had a huge area on the ceiling that was damaged and was leaking into a big tub. The hallways had lights burned out which made it hard to see how to get in ur room. Our room was micro small. Mattrass is not very comfy. There was mold growing above the shower. Pillows were lumpy and not enough of them. Our tv would play for a few min then would lose signal. Called down stairs and they said, I dont know . So we just had to do without. All in all though our room was pretty clean. Parking for trucks is down the road. While i am thankful it was provided be prepared for a hike. Breakfast was nice. Sausage was really yummy. Even has a pancake machine. Enjoyed that.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!||I checked in on Friday, Oct 25th to stay the weekend and travel around WV site seeing. Saturday night around 9:30, the fire alarm started going off. The entire hotel was evacuated due high carbon monoxide levels. We stood outside in the cold weather for over two hours as three different fire departments went through the hotel. In talking with one of the fire fighters, this happened previously two days prior at this hotel, but the staff waited until two people were down in the hallway before calling it in. I did end up getting checked out by the EMS since I was extremely dizzy earlier that day and I am pregnant. I was finally able to get my stuff around 11:45, get a refund and find another hotel for the night. Those who chose to stay didnt have cold water, would have to wait until the gas company showed up (another 45 minutes) to determine if it was safe to occupy or not. ||||Since this event, my friend I was staying with, googled this hotel and it happened two other times as well. Once a few weeks prior and in the spring. ||||I am shocked that they knew this was an issue they had and didnt do anything to fix it. Instead they put every hotel guest and my unborn baby at risk by allowing us to occupy the hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect for my 2 day solo trip. The hotel itself and my room were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the hotel continental breakfast. But sufficient for my needs. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

One of the best beds we’ve ever slept in…in a hotel. Excellent!|I think but cannot confirm this might be an older facility. It had that feeling. |The Desk employees were great and I met the owner/manager when checking out. He too was appreciative and friendly. Thank you for a good stay.

I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gassaway/Sutton, and I had a great experience.
