Stacy is amazing. Very hospitable and welcoming. She greeted me as soon as I arrived and welcomed me in. Gave me a tour right away. Beautiful cabin. Common area is well furnished and beautiful. Kitchen well kept will all amenities. Coffee, popcorn, Tea. Amazing. The room was just great and beyond expectation. Bed was SO comfortable. Bathroom amazing. Outdoor stunning views. Has such great esthetics. Just all around great experience. Could not have found a better place to stay. Would highly recommend for anyone on their way to Denali or just want an amazing place to stay in Alaska.

Having never been to Talkeetna before, we were unsure what we were getting into while driving down gravel roads to get to the lodge. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, But it was a lovely property, and very close to town. The host was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in a suite (private bathroom and huge private deck). We know other people were staying there too, but never saw or heard anyone. We only stayed one night, and it was raining so we didnt get to enjoy the outdoors. If in Talkeetna again, I will stay here, and may check into the cute cabins on the property.

We stayed at the Snoozin’ cabin, and I would consider this as glamping. It was equipped with basics (shower, sink, toilet, bed and privacy). For Talkeetna at this price point, we don’t expect luxury. It was clean and comfortable. Despite the poor cell signal was poor and wifi, I enjoyed the experience of basic comfort away from tech and urban stuffs. I would advise folks to pre-download movies for entertainment. It was a great stay!

Stacey is a great and welcoming host! The common kitchen and living room area in the lodge is spacious, relaxing, and wonderful. A good way to meet other Alaska visitors. There are a variety of types of rooms available. We had a really good stay in the Meandering Moose!

While my stay started off well, it quickly deteriorated. I was under the impression that we were booking a hotel-like room; however, the owner had the freedom to enter my room while I was in bed and spoke to me in a condescending manner. This behavior is entirely unacceptable.

If there are specific rules, they should be clearly posted or communicated to guests in advance. If children are not welcome, this should be explicitly stated in the advertisement. Under no circumstances should anyone walk into a guest's room uninvited, especially while they are in their pajamas, and criticize their parenting.

My son was not being loud while warming up his food, even though it was late. Considering it's summer break and the sun stays up longer, it's unreasonable to expect children to follow a strict bedtime.

I wish you all the best with your business, but I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Avoid ruining your vacation with such an experience.

Stayed in Mid August 2024. Great deal for the area. I was in a simple cabin and it was great. I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this location.

I arrived on the recovery side of a bad head cold and this we agreat place to stay, decent beds, comfy sheets, and abundant hot water. The cabins are small but utilize the space inside well. I had booked for only 1 night but decided to stay a 2nd and they made extra effort to keep us in the same cabin for the 2nd night even though it was initially booked and I didn't even ask for the accommodation. This place was remarkable for the price.

The Notorious RIG 2.0

The perfect rustic cabin experience to enjoy historic Talkeetna. We stayed in one of the free standing cabins with bathroom and kitchenette with all the basic kitchen wear. There was plenty of brochure information on Talkeetna and near by Denali for which the town has been base camp. The Cabins, Lodge and hosts are welcoming, informative, and we can’t wait to return!
