I highly recommend staying at Meadowbrook Farm Bed and Breakfast! The owners are very nice, and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The coffee was so good it didn’t even need creamer! This is a great choice if you’re looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay.

My husband and I were attending a wedding over Labor Day weekend and we chose to stay at the lovely Meadowbrook Farm B&B. The location was perfect as it was halfway between Suffolk where the wedding was and Carrollton where family members live and we would be visiting. But let me get to the good stuff... Upon our arrival we were greeted by our hosts, Debra and Allen, and we immediately felt welcomed. As we checked in we were able to choose when we would like to have breakfast each day. We appreciated being able to choose as we like to be up for a few hours before eating whereas others like to eat shortly after getting up. Having the choice helped us keep more to our routine. Speaking of breakfast I don't believe I have the words to express how delicious everything was. I mean seriously delicious! Each day we savored various biscuits and muffins with homemade Apple Pear Butter and Fig Preserves; fruit cups; main entrees that were totally different and equally tasty each day; and to top it all off we had dessert. Dessert for breakfast - awesome! Debra was the genius in the kitchen (she even shared some of her recipes with us) and Allen was an amazing waiter with some great stories. Our coffee cups never ran dry! Another thing we appreciated was that much of the food we ate was grown right there at the farm. Talk about farm to table! You just can't beat it. Backing up to the day we arrived... after getting settled in we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine, cheese and crackers and some cookies. It was a welcomed treat. We took them to the front porch where we enjoyed the goodies and while taking in the view and the peacefulness of the property. Afterwards we wandered the property for a little exercise. As mentioned earlier, we were attending a wedding and visiting with family that we hadn't seen in 15 years or so. We had no idea what our schedule would be or how late we would be coming in but that was no problem. We were free to come and go which was a relief and allowed us the freedom to thoroughly enjoy catching up with everyone. That being said, we didn't have much time to check out local places of interest but there are brochures of various places available at the B&B and the hosts are happy to recommend places as well. The house itself is just beautiful and chock full of antiques. We stayed in the Victorian Rose room which offered a comfy queen bed, two chairs and a TV. We slept very well each night. If we ever get back to Virginia we'll definitely be booking Meadowbrook Farm B&B for the duration of our stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The Suite Retreat was lovely. There was space to peacefully enjoy our separate bedtimes. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Having a selection of teas for the evening and a coffee maker in the room was so nice, We could enjoy the first cup on the back deck with its wonderful views. Breakfast was also truly wonderful. Debbie, who is wonderful cook, accommodated my husband dietary restrictions and provided a multi-course meal of home made pastries, home made condiments and eggs and sausage scrambled with their farm raised vegetables. All followed by a delicious, creative and healthy breakfast desert.

Our visit was absolutely fantastic. Every day started off with a wonderful, four course breakfast. What a lovelyl way to start the morning. I never had the need to fill my coffee. They were right there to do that for us both.The room was well stocked with shampoos and soaps. The bed was very comfortable and extra pillows were available for us in the closet. Our hosts were cordial and attentive. They helped us with suggestions for dinner and places to visit. They have a large game room and many different venues for events. They were doing a wedding the weekend after our stay. We are hoping to be able to visit them again in the spring.

Beautiful location for a wedding! Only the wedding party stayed overnight so can't common the rooms, but very much enjoyed the beautiful grounds, and the barn is perfect for a country wedding.

We had our wedding at this farm. The couple that runs the B&B are so accommodating and easy to work with. The grounds are gorgeous, the barn was spectacular. The rooms were quaint and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the service was better than I could have ever imagined.

Lovely stay at the Meadowbrook Farms B & B. It was exactly what we look for in such lodging: very clean with exemplary breakfast. My hubby now wants me to replicate Debbie’s sweet potato biscuits.||Debbie and Allen made sure our stay over Christmas was a comfortable and delightful one. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Loved this B&B, the hosts were friendly and engaging, breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Everything from the conversation and care by Debbie from the booking to being greeted by Allen in the pouring rain was done for the comfort and personalization of the stay for individual guests. Precautions were taken by the hosts for coronavirus and we felt safe during our two day stay. I cannot describe how delicious breakfast was while we stayed at meadow brook. Everything was homemade and locally sourced. I would go out of my way to stay here again just for Debbie’s cooking and Allen’s conversation. Highly recommended.
