We love visiting McMenamins Gearhart - we choose this location for our birthday celebrations over the years and friends and family are now joining us again and again.||The dream of rolling out of bed, down to the restaurant and on to the beautiful golf course has come to life! We rarely leave the property since we can get a variety of food options for any meal. I am especially happy about the newly added oyster shooters and the salad options are great. The food is delicious!||We have come to really appreciate some familiar faces that really make the stay special! Bobby at the front desk - she has a great team that focuses on making us feel warm and welcome when we arrive as well as upon departure which is very important. Billy at the Sandtrap is amazing! She makes excellent service look effortless and so natural. It seems her team/ colleagues enjoy working together. We also enjoyed Chase and Carson. ||All of the employees speak highly of their employment there which speaks volumes too.||The beds and pillows are super comfy. It is also generally nice and quiet at night. The mowers do start in the morning but that is a welcomed sound.||Though I do not want floods of people filling up our special/ favorite rooms, we do highly recommend McMenamins Gearhart.

Nice get away to the beach but best enjoyed sans children. Cute sand trap bar with cozy fire to enjoy a drink and a chat. Available shuttle during day. Rooms are nicely decorated. A feast for your eyes. In house restaurant and bar.

We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary and had a great time. All our meals were delicious and just a few minutes to the beach. We didn't golf this time, but we booked another 2 nights stay in a couple of months. Can't wait to go back!

What a cute eclectic hotel. Beach access only 1 block away. I came during a mini snow event but can’t wait to return in the spring to take advantage of the multiple fire pits. But the restaurant and bar downstairs each have large wood burning fireplaces.

Stopped here to your the hotel and fold course. It was so beautiful. The hidden bar with the putting green was a fun find. I can't wait to go back and visit

Only dined, didn't stay in a room.
Food was ok, not superb, but to be fair it was my first time there so perhaps it's just what I got (shrimp slider and broccoli cheddar soup). Awesome friendly waitstaff.

Legendary place. Great location. Server was inattentive for the few people that were there. Didn’t stay the night but would think it’s on par with other eclectic McM hotels that we love to stay. Wonderful art work as usual.

Rooms had everything but a coffee pot. Lots of quirky atmosphere, great restaurant and bar, right on the golf course and a short walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Great price.
