We had a wonderful time my son and I went out for our birthdays. Our server was right there when we needed him and was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I have celiac disease and they were very cautious and helped us out a lot I was very impressed. The food itself was delicious had just the right combinations of sweet and savory. The steak was soft and not chewy which is really important for me. Absolutely love the experience will go again.

This is my first time eating here with my wife. Wonderful experience well worth the price.

Our server Zane V. was very friendly, warm and attentive. He told us he usually works in the mornings so if you'd like a guaranteed wonderful service, that would be a great time to show up.

We started with the clam chowder which was fantastic. And had the Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Piccatta. Both are amazing dishes with just the right amount of pasta. Some times restaurants tend to overfill the plate with pasta but not here. It was perfect.

We would definitely recommend this restaurant for romantic dates as well as getting together with friends for a fine dining experience and wonderfully made cocktails. Try the whiskey sour with honey maple.

My boyfriend and I ate Max for both nights of our four year anniversary trip. We received amazing service from Troy and Ryan that made us feel like family.
The food was also fantastic and I have never tasted a better clam chowder, despite having gone on many trips to the coast. I also got the beef tenderloin tips both nights and still crave it. I would gladly make a dedicated trip just to eat here again!

For a restaurant associated with a hotel, this is one of the better options. Food is consistently good and presentation is professional. Staff is exceptional. Ask for Ann, one of the better employees. She will definitely make your experience better. Atmosphere can be a bit noisy at times as this is a hotel setting and family or groups raise the decibel level. Ask for a booth in the back for a more intimate experience.

We had high hopes with the reviews we read but, sadly, MAX didn't hold up.

The service was very good and the restaurant is large and clean. The warm bread is served with a whipped herb butter with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was a nice way to start.

That's when things started declining. I ordered a French Onion Soup due to a review I saw. When it came out the cheese was melted but lacked any color typical of a good French Onion Soup. The cheese was quite thick and had a lot of pull. The crouton was quite thin so got lost in the cheese. The broth was sweeter than umami or salty. It is as if there was red onion that was undercooked in it. It was warm but not hot as a French Onion soup should be.

The Prime Rib Philly looked pretty good, but tasted of salt and not much else. It was as if it had marinated in a fake jus. The meat was falling apart and the onions and peppers were overwhelmed by the salt. The bun was soaked through at the bottom. The fries were nicely seasoned and crispy.

The clam linguine came in a fairly large bowl that was burning hot which is odd for a pasta dish. The pasta was very overcooked and so had turned into a mess. The clams were also overcooked so became rubbery. The sauce stood out here as it was flavorful and was very pleasant and herbaceous.

The martini was well balanced and priced well.

In summary, the service and atmosphere save the day. The food gave the appearance of being fancy without the quality or flavors to back it up.

A creative alternative to the many national chains in the Spokane Valley shopping area. We had a risotto made with quinoa, two huckleberry-flavored drinks, steak tips, and the apple-Cougar Gold cheese salad. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere is elegant and the service was attentive. Highly recommended.
