Very fun and great experience. The views are breathtaking. We saw dolphins and whales. The trip to Catalina was quick. Excellent customer service and I felt safe although scared at first.

This place is amazing. We have a 3yr old and a 4 month old that we took with us on the helicopter and everybody working here was more than accommodating to our little family. I was very nervous to to take a helicopter to Avalon and back but all their staff made sure we felt safe and were comfortable each time. We would definitely do this again but only with this company. We've already recommended them to all our friends and family and have only good things to say. They were wonderful and patient with us which isn't easy to find when you have 2 crazy kids with you. We are so thankful for the awesome experience IEX helicopters gave us.

On this occasion, I am finally writing my review that I intended to write a while ago:

On 2 September 2024, I had the privilege of flying to the beautiful Santa Catalina Island with Maverick Helicopters - Queen Mary Terminal, Long Beach, in order to fulfill my dream of seeing wild bisons at least once in my life. My flight to the island was scheduled for 08:00 am. Unfortunately, the Queen Mary Terminal was fogged in that morning, so everything had been put on hold for several hours since flying would have been too risky. Luckily, the fog eventually cleared and we could fly around midday. The pilot seemed to be very competent and thus we had a smooth and secure flight. Despite the long waiting time beforehand, I had an overall pleasant and comfortable experience with Maverick Helicopters. The staff was very friendly - especially the General Manager, Peter, who had been around the whole time and seems to be of a calm and warm nature and very polite, which added to an easy atmosphere. The fact that Maverick Helicopters put on hold their flights as long as the weather was foggy, shows that they put safety first.

I can recommend Maverick Helicopters - Queen Mary Terminal, Long Beach, to everyone.

I have been on several helicopter rides to and from the island. It’s absolutely beautiful! Every pilot I’ve flown with is professional, has smooth landings and take offs. Each helicopter is very clean and well taken care of. They ease all your fears and make it an incredible experience. I highly recommend!

Make sure to tip your pilot! They work hard!

Round trip to Catalina was breeze! Super comfortable, top notch customer service and an overall fun experience! Had a great convo with Pilot Mark on the way to Catalina. Not dealing with crowded ferrys, long lines and 1.5hr plus water time.....worth every penny!
