The Good: Location is perfect with gondola to Heavenly ski resort right outside. The staff was great. The facilities were quite nice.||The Not So Good: This is named a Marriott resort... but Bonvoy members get no benefits other than 1000 points that might be worth $5. Where are the perks such as room upgrades, late checkout, breakfast, etc? This was very disappointing. The bed in our room had the wrong size sheets that were stretched to the ripping point to try to fit. There was also a $35 daily fee to park. The parking service also put a scratch in my rental car... then denied they did it claiming their grainy pixelated photo showed the scratch was previously there... however, I had pictures of the car the day before. I am still waiting for a response from them after 3 weeks.

Amazing location. Right next to the Gondola for Heavenly. Unfortunately we had fire alarms go off multiple times during my two night stay. First at like 6:45am, and the other was just after 6pm, on the same day. ||I had two packages delivered that I called ahead to coordinate, and they could only find one. After they brought the first one to the desk, they went back and searched more since they saw I had a tracking number.||I figured I'd comment on the fire alarms in the post stay survey which I assumed I'd get because I stayed on points. No survey was sent. Overall, kind of a weird experience.||Again, amazing location.

Stayed in the comfortable 2 bedroom villa for 4 nights and had a relaxed stay. The staff was wonderful. In particular, Carissa from Front Desk is a true professional. During check-in, Carissa was so courteous and respectful, and seemed genuinely interested in making sure all the guests had a great stay. Not only did Carissa provide excellent guidance throughout the check-in process, recommended some great restaurants and sites to visit, she also assisted with locating a package that was sent from my office, and followed up with calls to the room to confirm the package was delivered by the hotel staff. Additionally, Marley from Guest Support/Front Office was also wonderful when she handled our phone queries with attention and care.|| ||The location of Marriott’s Timber Lodge was very convenient – easy walk to Van Sickle Park as well as restaurants at the Shops at Heavenly Village. The interior of the 2 bedroom suite (with connecting doors) offered adequate space for both adults and children, with warmly furnished ski-lodge style furniture, sufficient plugs for devices and phones, fairly comfortable beds with good quality liens, 2 fireplaces and convenient front-loading laundry appliances.|| ||All in all, after a work stop in Palo Alto, this was a wonderful stay for us to appreciate nature and the beauty of Lake Tahoe.

IMO this resort and its sister property next door are the gold standard when staying in South Lake Tahoe. The hotel offers ski valet service within steps of the gondola. Heavenly Village is really the place to be in Tahoe, especially with the Target opening soon. You really don't need a car when you stay at this property, because it's just so centrally located. So many good restaurants nearby and even a small ice skating rink to pass time at night. We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here and definitely look forward to returning in the future.

This is the best place to stay if you are into snow sports and want to be in South Lake Tahoe. Additionally, Gary introduced us to the hotel chain’s vacation club ownership package, and really enlightened us into how much Marriott Hotel truly has to offer. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent location to gondola, restaurants, shopping and short walk to casino. My only complaint is the adjoining doors, make the rooms too noisy. We had a couple with 2 dogs next door. Their dog would bark, not excessively, but when it did you could clearly hear it.

We enjoyed a week at the Marriott vacations resort in Lake Tahoe. It was a very pristine and up-to-date hotel located very near the lake and convenient to most shopping centers we needed. Our unit was newly remodeled so we had the latest appliances and enough outlets for our electronic devices. I especially love the oven as it had an option for pizzas and air fryer cooking. My only disappointment in the kitchen was that a blender had to be requested and they did not have an electric mixer available. Since I had an injured rotator cuff, it made mixing anything very difficult.|Overall, there was great lighting, except for the dining area. The light there was rather dim. I loved that they had a fireplace which was easy to use, and the Bathroom, had a Jacuzzi tub, which, if we were younger, would’ve been fun to have used, but due to our age limitations it would’ve been rather difficult. There were two TVs one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Netflix and prime video or options on both if you had an account, and there were a variety of channels available. The heating and air-conditioning was rather hard to regulate. When it was an auto and you tried to regulate the temperature it would heat the temperature and then it returned to cool. It would either be too hot or too cold. Also, the tub was rather hard to get in and out of for us boomers. The water was great. We were even told it was safe to drink as it comes from the mountains nearby. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was valet only and the charge was $35. The inconvenience there is that we did not always have access to our vehicle right away. You had to request your car and wait 10 or 15 minutes before it was delivered. On the upside, we knew it was in a safe location the whole time we were there. Since there was a Village shopping center within the resort, there was not much of a need to go out other than when we drove around the lake or general sightseeing.|All our unit was pleasant and we would recommend Marriott timber Lodge as a place to stay.

We loved the heavenly location this hotel is in. The concierge was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and modern! The only thing that was hard for us is being able to hear our neighbors clearly! We could hear the male parent baby talking the child along with the baby crying through the night…. For a couple with no children this was very interesting for us. But it was disturbing to think that family had no privacy because we could hear everything!! There was also construction going on which we were warned about but it was noisy!
