I stayed a week ago for 3 nights in the Garden Room. The bed was soft and very comfy and I had plenty of space. Location was great and parking was easy. People mention the stairs and they definitely talk to you, but I never heard anything at night (maybe it was my window unit, which kept my room wonderfully cool). I love places with character and this house oozed character. The shared bathroom was always spotlessly clean (when I was there, only one other room shared it - I don’t know if that is always the case).
Breakfast was set out and then self-serve: giant croissant, yogurt, boiled egg, lots of fresh fruit, sliced meat & cheese. I would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic one night stay and only wish it could have been longer. Although we didn’t meet the innkeepers, everything went very smoothly. Some reviews mentioned confusing check in instructions, but in our experience they were extremely clear and nothing to be concerned about.

The house is gorgeous and very clean. Not a speckle of dust anywhere. The honor bar is a nice perk, especially if you arrive late and are tired. Breakfast is so much better than expected. It’s a European style continental with plenty of options for any preference. If you are vegan, there will be plenty of fruit.

We stayed at the Rose room and loved it. I will mention that if you are staying longer and have more language, the space is a little tight so you will need to be creative about unpacking. We didn’t have to, but I wanted to put it out there for those who might. The private bathroom is spacious and comfortable with plenty of towels.

Yes, it is a historic house and the wide staircase will be noisy. So will be the nearby road. Nothing a pair of earplugs won’t take care of, and you will find a plentiful complimentary supply in the bathroom. We found the mattress and pillows to be most comfortable.

This will be our go-to place in Spokane!

We had a one night stay a week ago. We had the trouble to open the door when we arrived, I texted the innkeeper, She responded right away and showed up at the door. After that everything went very smoothly.
We stayed at the Rose room with its own private bathroom. It is a little small. We have to stack up our languages. The private bathroom is spacious and comfortable with plenty of towels.
It is a beautiful and charming historic house. It is gorgeous and clean. The wide staircase is noisy and nearby road. There were earplugs with a plentiful other complimentary supply in the bathroom. We found the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
Breakfast is good. It’s a European style continental with plenty of options for any preference.
There were a plenty restaurants nearby. We walked less then 15 minutes to a seafood restaurant for dinner.

What a beautiful and charming house. I loved all the wonderful details and decoration. The room was small but sufficient and very comfortable. I loved the bed and the pillows. The breakfast was beautiful and elegant and very European, which I value as a German :). I loved the Honesty bar and helped myself to a glass of wine in the evening which I enjoyed on the beautiful wrap-around porch.
The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable was the heat in the room. It is west facing and we caught a very hot day when we stayed. A fan would have been nice or a small window AC unit for the summer months. Also it was difficult to open the window and keep it open. The area is a bit noisy but there is nothing you can do about that. The location to Gonzaga is great. I would definitely stay a the Marianna Stoltz House again.
I did not get the check in instructions in my confirmation email and saw that someone else mentioned it as well.
Overall, the Marianna Stoltz House is a beautiful and special home. You can feel how much love and attention to detail goes in to it to make the guests feel special.

This is a lovely gem of a place. We had a great stay! Rooms were comfortable and spacious. The property is lovely, and in a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was great with a nice selection of teas. The property managers/staff were also friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be to add some dairy alternatives in the mix ( e.g., oat or almond milk).

Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plenty to eat. Coffee delicious. We had a great stay and would definitely stay her again.

Lovely home with comfortable amenities close to Gonzaga. Maybe our experience was unusual, but we never saw the owner/staff during our stay and had to call to get into the house. (We had not received the email with information on how to check-in/out until the next morning.) My previous experience with bed & breakfast homes has always included getting to know the owner a bit. We did enjoy talking with another couple during breakfast and would stay here again, as it is a good value. Be sure to choose carefully when you make your online reservation. I did not, so failed to see that not all rooms have a private bathroom. I appreciated that the rooms and bedding were not heavily scented, as I have a respiratory reaction to those products. If you are sensitive to fragrance do bring your own soap.

Such a lovely historic home! A very pleasant experience. Breakfast was elegant and delicious. A fun way to start out our vacation. The home itself is a true gem and felt like I had gone back to a different time period. Bedding was comfortable. We had a room with a private bath. The only thing I would have changed would have been to have a non-slip mat for the shower option and perhaps clearer parking and check-in instructions, but that may have been because I did not see the 2nd email sent.
We will definitely stay here again as it was a special experience.
