We heard such rave reviews and decided to try this place for the first time. Sadly it will be our last. I got the brisket and potato salad. The potatoe salad isn’t bad but not great. My wife got the 2 pork sliders. The pork AND the brisket I got had no taste what’s so ever. Not even a Smokey flavor. It was pure slop and the buns were soggy as ever. The pork was in big dark chunks and also the bbq sauce wasn’t great either. Very disappointed and upset that 41.00 is down the drain.

All around great experience!
The girl that took my order was an absolute sweetheart, great customer service.
The halibut and chips was delicious!
There is even a covered area to sit and eat. Awesome little stop.

Always a hit, love this place, great food for the price. I got the steak sandwich and the cook girl forgot to ask how I'd like it so she said she made it how she likes it and it came out genuinely perfect. The employees are so wonderful too.

I wish I had taken photos so you could see how yummy this food was. We got ribs and brisket with coleslaw and potato salad. The ribs were really well flavored and smoked, brisket was very tender. The woman meat smoker (hell ya) came out to chat and was very friendly. Great place for a quick lunch!

After messing with a boat motor all day instead of fishing, I stopped in with my family to make the day better.

Mamas is a uniquely Alaskan kind of place. It has a fun, quirky atmosphere with super friendly and attentive staff.

Admittedly, I'm a bit of a BBQ snob. I've lived in some famous BBQ locations, including North Carolina, and the hill country of Texas and I've eaten BBQ at some of the finest places in the world.

I say all that to say the top rated spots are top rated for a reason... But Mamas is a place I'd happily eat at again. And I don't say that about many BBQ joints.

Ate here when I was on a Salmon fishing trip and I got to say probably the best food in all of Alaska their BBQ is off the hook good I had the prime rib sandwich the first time I visited 2 days later i had to try the pound pulled pork sandwich so so good...... But what makes this place even better is the chili beans never had a better chili than at Mammas also the best prices in town it's a win win situation…….Six years later it’s still the best BBQ in Alaska…..I live in Houston Tx I know good BBQ when I eat it. I
