Hubby and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at this lodge. The views were beautiful.|We were out most of the day and our dinners were in nearby restaurants. But, we did enjoy their breakfast buffet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a glass of wine on their deck in the evening while enjoying the views. The room reminded me of cabins in the national parks we visited, it was clean and comfy. We had 2 beds and a bathroom, there was a public area with the fridge and a keurig coffee maker. I would stay again.

Beautifully set in the mountains with 360 degree picture views, with lots of outdoor seating on the deck. Log cabin dining and reception area are very charming. The breakfast buffet has typical warm food options such as eggs, meats and potatoes, and also fresh fruit, baked goods, granola, yogurt, and espresso drinks. There is also a nice bar and 4 beers on tap. The outdoor hot tub was perfect after a hike. It’s a 15 minute drive to Matanuska Glacier, where we did a glacier hike. And the staff were amazing. They made you feel welcome, were accommodating, and gave good tips and ideas for things to do in the area. There is also a fire pit outside - a great place to get cozy at sunset.

One of the best place to stay out of our 7 days visit to Alaska, where we visited many different cities. Staff was really kind and helpful, they made sure we are comfortable finding everything as we were doing late night check in, they even provided photos over text message with instructions and all. Their cabins are very modern and comfortable with the great views. I would book this again when visiting Alaska next time and highly recommend anyone visiting Matanuska Glacier as its very near by.

After some minor hiccups, the staff went out of their way to ensure our experience at the lodge was an excellent one. |Food was very good and it had a well stocked bar. |Lovely walks (although, unfortunately, we didn’t see the elusive moose but I’m assured they are there). |Highly recommended

We had booked 2 Budget double rooms. 1 of the rooms was smelling like sewer and even after spraying room freshener, the smell didn't go. On requesting for a different room, there was no other room available. It was a very bad experience for my family. Please think twice before booking budget double room as the smell was unbearable and staff mentioned they cannot do anything about it. Otherwise property is beautiful with great views. I have stayed here in past and had booked Deluxe Queen room and that did not have issues.

We communicated with the Lodge ahead of time because we have a daughter in a heavy electric wheelchair and knew there were no ADA rooms. Via Zoom with Anthony we were able to choose the room closest to what we need. Njord, the owner, built a long outside ramp to the lobby/main-room on the second floor, just for us. He also modified the entrance to our room for access. The staff was wonderful. The chef does magic with the local salmon. And the views incredible. Very fun and relaxing place with family.

The views from the lodge alone are worth the stay here. Absolutely stunning! We stayed for the dinner which we had no idea what they would be serving. It was salmon and risotto. Neither of us eat salmon but we tried it and liked it. ||The rooms were small but not a bad place to stay. Linens were clean. Shower had hot water. The bed could use an update, it wasn’t very comfortable, but it worked.||There is a sweet dog that was on the property.

This was by far the best room I've ever stayed in. The staff was very pleasant and professional, and we enjoyed interacting with them. The dinner and the breakfast were delicious. We are so glad we stayed there.
