I absolutely loved MacArthur! Not only is this resort beautiful (my room had an outdoor shower which was amazing) but service is SPECTACULAR. We felt taken care of and appreciated the little touches. This included, the bellman getting to know us and asking us questions about our day (remembering our conversations from earlier), the front desk staff being very helpful, and also housekeeping did a phenomenal job (my clothes that I threw on the floor looking for my wine tour outfit was picked up and neatly folded). My family and I also had dinner at Layla (the roasted chicken was delicious) then had drinks at their bar. The bar was lively with kind bartenders. Oh I also love that they provide you with refillable water bottles as they have water stations through out their property. One tip! Get yourself a nice bottle of wine and unwind at one of the many outdoor firepits for guest to use. My family and I did that and had such a great time chatting! Trust me! You will love it! I cant wait to come back!

This place is magical. From the time you turn in to the hotel, to when your head hits the perfectly soft pillows, you’ll be delighted at every turn. I’ve stayed at many locations in Sonoma and MacArthur takes the cake. The coffee shop was top notch, and so unexpected. Same with Layla — love having an incredible restaurant onsite. The scallops were divine. The heated floors are next level but it was the continuous attention to detail and the level of service for me. Can’t think of a better location for couples or a girls weekend. A personalized card, champagne, yummy snacks, turn down service. The way my clothes were organized by housekeeping! They didn’t miss a detail and when you add all of that up, I can’t wait to be delighted here again!

I stayed at MacArthur Place for my 40th birthday. I’ve always wanted to go to California wine country, and this place exceeded my expectations. The property is beautiful, and the rooms were great too. From check-in to check-out, the service was amazing. Housekeeping went above and beyond when they cleaned our room when we were out wine tasting. We ate at restaurants all over, and Layla on the property was amazing as everything else in the area. If you are not sure about where to stay, I actually prefer Sonoma to Napa if your plans are still open. It has much more of a small town feel. I definitely hope to go back.

Our stay was magical! The room was immaculate, the grounds well kept, hot tub was perfect! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful - attentive to every need and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Our suite was beautiful and well-designed. Loved the outdoor shower and soaking tub. Nice amenities in the room - coffee/teas. Convenient walk to everything in town. We also dined on site and the restaurant was amazing! Delicious food and great service. Found a new favorite spot for sure!

This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Clean, modern yet cozy. The lobby and main building are beautiful. The food at Layla is great. The coffee at the coffee shop is top notch. And the spa services do not disappoint. I would highly recommend this as a wonderful luxurious place to stay in Sonoma. Additionally, it's only a 15 minute walk from the square.

What an incredible property!|Myself and 2 girlfriends spend 2 nights in a spa suite. The room was perfection! The housekeeping service impeccable. The restaurant beyond delicious. We had the most amazing time. The property is also just a short walk from the plaza. Easy to walk to lunch, then tasting room, then ice cream at the plaza. |It was my second time here and I’m already planing next year’s trip.

Me and my wife stayed there on my birthday. Was very satisfied with the room and the staff were very nice.The grounds are very nice whith a pool,sauna,and hot tub. They have some art work
displayed on the grounds which is nice to see as you are walking to your room. Had some drinks and appetizers in there lounge which was very nice. We only stayed one night so didn't get a chance to go to the restaurant.
Will definitely go back again and
stay at least 2 nights to enjoy everything they have to offer.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Sonoma, walkable to the Square but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Everything was perfect from our arrival to our departure. Cozy and spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, Layla was excellent for multiple meals (manager of the hotel and restaurant are so kind and accommodating!). House keeping was fantastic and willing to help immediately whenever we needed it. The gym had nice high quality equipment. Looking forward to returning for a trip in the summer to take advantage of the pool. Can’t recommend enough!
