We rented a two bedroom condo on Olympia Fields (79834 Olympia Fields) in PGA West from Luxury Leasing from Jan. 21 to March 1, 2024. This was the fifth time we had rented a condo in PGA West, but the first time we had rented from Luxury Leasing. Our previous four years were positive experiences. Our experience with Luxury Leasing was a disaster.
The positive: the view towards the pond is beautiful.
The negatives. Our condo was overrun with bugs, including cockroaches, during our entire stay. The first weekend we killed between 15 and 20 bugs. We killed multiple bugs almost every day during the 40 days we were there. Cockroaches greeted us on the bedroom and kitchen floors when we turned the lights on. My wife opened a bathroom drawer to find a cockroach on her toothbrush. Spiders crawled out from gaps under the kitchen counter.
We kept the kitchen clean, we left no dirty dishes anywhere, we left no food out, and we bagged all food in the cabinets. Additionally, we paid to have a cleaning company clean the home twice during our less than 6 week stay. Still the insect infestation persisted.
Perhaps contributing to the condo being overrun with bugs, there are holes in one or more of the window/sliding door screens and at least one of the sliding door screens doesn’t close tightly, leaving a gap more than adequate for bugs to enter.
We brought this insect problem to Luxury Leasing’s attention numerous times. In response to our complaints, they sent someone to spray the condo. It had little to no effect after a day or two. We continued to complain and a week or so before we departed they sent the spraying company back. Again, little to no relief.
One of the individuals who came and sprayed said he didn’t believe the unit was treated for insects on an ongoing basis, which is required to control insects.
Cockroaches are not just a nuisance; they enter a condo or home in part through sewer lines and toilets, carrying pathogens that cause disease. Suffice it to say that this problem alone ruined our vacation.
There were urine and other stains on the mattress pad in the bedroom. There were blood stains and other spots on the sheets. We washed all the linens but the stains remained. When the cleaners came that we paid for (who were recommended by Luxury Leasing), the cleaning woman told us when they see such issues in a condo, they tell the owner, but if the owner doesn’t do anything about it, Luxury Leasing can’t do anything else. Well, one thing that Luxury Leasing could do is disclose to its prospective clients that “hey, your condo isn’t a ‘luxury condo,' it is overrun with insects and there are urine, blood and other stains on the linens.” When we paid for a second cleaning the cleaners replaced the urine-stained pad; however, we spent the remainder of our rental time sleeping on the other stained linens.
On March 12, 2024, Luxury Leasing notified us that they were withholding $200 of our pet deposit to clean the carpets. I called and spoke with a woman in their office. I told her that the carpets were dirty when we arrived. Indeed, on Jan. 22, immediately after we arrived, we notified Luxury Leasing in writing that “the carpet, particularly on the landing at the top of the stairs, has numerous spots.” The woman said that the contract clearly says a portion of the pet deposit WILL be used every time to clean the carpet. I told her I didn’t think that was the case. She then admitted that I was right, but that there was nothing she could do. We intend to pursue whatever legal actions are necessary to recover what we are owed.
I could complain about the fact that 2 of the 3 hair dryers didn’t work, that 1 of the two televisions didn’t work, and that the tv’s are so old they don’t permit streaming, but in light of all the other issues with Luxury Leasing and this condo, those issues pale in comparison.

The Frye Festival of vacation rentals...

Now I'm in a bind because of Luxury Leasing. I reserved a great house. They accepted my reservation. Collected money. I sat back and relaxed for one week. Then...my reservation was CANCELLED. Did I mention they already had my money?!?

Why, you ask? So they can price gauge some other poor soul to pay more. And now I don't have a house and I lost out on a week of trying to get one.

This company will never make it. Soon, everyone will know how they operate.

I would love to rate Luxury Leasing on an actual experience, but unfortunately after booking online the owner emailed (7 days later only because of a follow up email and a phone call asking if I was confirmed) informed me that the owner of the property I booked online rejected the price.

This was the price set by the website--and I agreed to it. I will point out this is Coachella weekend, I understand that rates are high because it's a special event weekend which is why I even agreed to pay $6k. Also, because it's a "special weekend" I had to book a 7 night min. After booking, nothing. We didn't hear a thing. No automatic email from the website, no email from the company and no email from the owner. I emailed 3 days in because I was getting concerned and finally called a few days later. I spoke to Greg and he said we were all set and should be receiving confirmation moments after we hung up.

Well, not only did we not receive confirmation, we received an email that the owner wanted $2k more for our stay.

I was then told that Greg reserves the right to raise the price on us because it's a "special weekend." this is such bad form. I totally understand that prices are ungodly high for Coachella, but why do it like this? why not just set the price on the website. This is just bad business. This was the price set on your website, with your nightly minimum.

Also, I can't for the life of me find this small print of where it states he can raise the price due to a special weekend.

I downloaded the terms and conditions, every page on the website, and looked back at the listing. It's not on the home page either. Please tell me where it says that.

They might feel like they mis-priced this house, but this is your mistake and you need to honor the price you provided--see photo.

It's not really common to go up to a register with a bottle of water and the cashier tell you that even though it's a set price by the store he feels this bottle is special so he's going to charge me two dollars more, but then again...

This company confirmed the reservation, TOOK $3,000 and then decided they wanted to raise the price by an extra $2,000!! Communication was terrible, it took 6 days to get a confirmation and then once confirmed, Gregg retracted the reservation and said he reserved the right to change the price at any time. There was no apology or attempt at a solution, just a “see ya suckers” mentality. I learned a lesson to always stick with Airbnb where they have great customer service and protections for instances like these. Judging by my experience and the many other reviewers, Id highly recommend you spare yourself the headache of renting with these fraudsters.

Its also worth mentioning that the Gregg who wrote the 5 star review in this same line up is the Gregg who works for the company. Fraud, Fraud, Fraud.

This has been the best rental experience I have ever had. Forget Air B n B and all those rip off sites. Call Jean Brandolini and live like a king . This lady was incredible. They hold a very high standard of units. She’s very prompt and takes care of you. I couldn’t ask for anything else. I’m glad we still have such amazing smaller companies to rent from.

We rented a house in La Quinta for 2 nights. First night around 9:00 pm security came by and asked us to turn off the music. Apparently La Quinta has a city ordinance, no music outside. We said fine and turned off the music and security left. Ten minutes later I get a call from the property management company. A very rude lady, Jean Brandolini, called me. Told me that she got a call from security with a noise complaint. Told us that we have to stop everything and go inside. She treated me like I was kid. At one point she was yelling me, telling me to just go inside. She said she was calling the sheriff's department to have as kick out. The sheriff's department did come, the officer said we were fine he could not hear any noice. The office left without a warning.

STAY AS FAR AS WAY AS YOU CAN FROM LUXURY LEASING INC!!!

This company is a joke. Gregg confirmed pricing then, accepted $3,000, everyone booked travel, then came back asking for more money. Bait and switch. Run from Luxury Leasing. They’ll try and squeeze you for more commission. Hurts the renter. Hurts the home owner. Gregg is a fraudster. We’re all out money.
