Love, love, love it! Great ambiance and food. Very busy so make reservations a few days early if possible. We were there on Thursday night and they had to turn away groups of 5 or more and had an hour wait for others. Our waitress, Ashley, has been there 9 years and was great. I loved it when a family came in and the maitre d asked the parents names, then their young daughter's name so he could put the reservation in her name. He told her where to take her parents to wait until he called her name and then told her to have her parents follow her to the table. NICE TOUCH - KUDOS 😊

Enjoyed the grilled salmon and halibut. Fresh and seasoned nicely but not overly salty. Recommend the clam chowder! Good vibes overall.

Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing from start to finish. The first waitress we encountered was extremely rude and unaccommodating. She seated our group at a table far too small for our size, and when we politely asked to move to a larger area (where another group was finishing up), she told us we’d have to wait in the cramped lobby—an impossible solution given the size of our group.

Thankfully, another waitress stepped in to help. She had short brown hair, though we didn’t catch her name, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Her kindness and excellent service were the only redeeming parts of the visit, even though part of our group’s order never arrived, leaving some of us hungry.

We understand it was a busy day, but the overall experience didn’t justify the absurdly high prices. The atmosphere felt outdated, and the food was very ordinary—nothing special for what we paid.

If it weren’t for the second waitress, we would have walked out before even ordering. She truly deserves to work somewhere better. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

This place was very welcoming. The atmosphere is very Alaskan. Lots of taxidermy on the walls of Alaskan Game. The food was good but it is a little pricey.
The calamari is delicious and the portion was large. The bread was great.
I got the Captains Plate and overall it was good. The salmon was a little dry. The green beans, mushrooms, prawns, and scallops were flavorful.
Good experience overall and the wait staff were very attentive and fast.

I wasn't too hungry, so I had a hamburger. The restaurant was nice, but I have had better burgers in Anchorage for less ,it was a little dry and not enough letteis, tomatoes, or pickles for me. the wife had stuffed Halibut,it looked good to me, she enjoyed it I liked looking around, very nice place.

I had the grilled halibut, my husband had the salmon. We shared them and they were both fantastic! The food was fresh and good, the server was so sweet. We had a great experience and will be back before our trip is over.

Good food, great ambience. Server was warm and welcoming even though we entered 30 mins before closing time.

Heads up - Portion sizes are extraordinarily big, and we wish the server had warned us about the portions when we placed our orders. It resulted in a lot of food wastage unfortunately.

Not the most friendly service. Not rude just ready to seat you at a sucky table for their convenience and a little too excited when your ready for the check.
The food was good. Big portions and quality seafood. It wasn’t $100 for a meal for two good though. I could’ve gotten stuffed at a restaurant across the street for almost half.
There was a nice man that came by and said,”Welcome to Louie’s!” With gusto and a graceful gesture. Really nice. Almost raised it another star for him, but then the waitress came back… so, ya know… 3 stars.
Oh, and if you like taxidermy and trophy hunters, the inside decor is for you.
We sat under the musk ox. Right inside the door. Why would you shoot a musk ox?
