First the positives: the property is clean and well maintained. Bed was comfy. |Negatives: the bedding smelled. And there was a sequin in my bed that was definitely not mine. The worst part was the heating/ac blower was very, very loud and next to the bed. There was no way to turn it off. I could only make it cooler or warmer so it clicked on frequently. A poor night’s sleep for sure. Finally, even though the location is “downtown” it is out by itself. No restaurants or coffee or other businesses adjacent to the property.

Free parking! It’s unheard of these days. I hear some guests enjoyed indoor swimming. We were only there for a few hours arriving late and leaving early. We had a spacious two queen room which looked like it was remodeled. We were able to charge our car also. All in all a pleasant stay.

Sitting at the mouth of the Los Angeles River and the Pacific Ocean, with downtown, the Queen Mary and the gantry cranes as backdrops, there sits a 11 story hotel all by its self. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The room service was excellent but it would have been nice to know it was an every other day service. The daily breakfast was always hot and fresh. The Asst. GM Jennifer swooped in to resolve an admin issue with a smile and patience of a saint. She is a valued employee! THANK YOU ALL for a pleasant stay and all THANK you for all the hard work you do!

Great place.
Some of most beautiful and kind staff I encountered. The only down part is the open parking, my car was stolen from the lot. ( Jorge the manager on duty and the front desk was on top of it tho.) my car is easily profiled “ sought after” and apparently easy to steal. Please have a parking gate installed or not.

BOO Mariott! ||Your CASHLESS hotel pisses me off! I am INSULTED every time that my CA$H is REFUSED by your staff. I got REFU$ED at the (excellent) Mexican restaurant whch served FANTASTIC food with superb service. I got REFU$ED at the front desk when I went to buy a $nack. I got REFU$ED at breakfa$t, too. ||My rating of your property would have been five stars. I want to give you the LONE-STAR rating for refusing to take my greenback$, but I'll compromise and give you thre, cuz the rest of the experience was very good.||You're GOING TO GET SUED for failing to take Ca$h. I'm gonna drop a dime on the Donald and sick the big dog on you. You cannot refuse cash. It is the currency of the land.

Very disappointed - pool not in use. I would not have booked it if I was told this. Stayed 3 nights and was refused a partial refund. We are from Canada and relaxing at the pool was very important to us.||Also this hotel is in the middle of nowhere - had to Uber at least 8 times.

The Residence Inn was a very comfortable hotel. My studio room was well appointed. Fireplaces were in group areas both inside and outdoors. The views were spectacular! Breakfast offered changed daily. However the parking charge of $38 was a little high. Next time I’ll bring my bathing suit to enjoy the pool and spa too.
