Worst drive in for parking or drop off/ pick up most of the time for cruise. They never improve this for many years we have taken Carnival cruise here!!!!

Last cruise we parked at end of LB convention center and took the free shutter bus in and out, much quick and easier! Still have to get in long waiting line to picked up my family!
They should let all other people park far away lots and tram or bus them in much faster!

Most Carnival Cruise Line ships and some others owned by Carnival arrive and depart from Long Beach. The terminal is located next to the Queen Mary.

The port is relatively small and can get congested with foot and car traffic. They do have a parking garage with areas for pickup and dropoff but navigating through here can be challenging and confusing.

Traffic to get in to the ship for drop off was Horrific. Took us an hour and 40 minutes to get through the traffic jam. Then I had to drive to offsite parking at the convention center what a nightmare. It took over three hours for traffic to park and for me to get onto the ship. I would never depart out of that terminal again.
On return, they were a little bit smarter. They shuttled everybody with their luggage back to the convention center parking. That was much better.

I got in about a half hour ahead of my scheduled time and still got moved through reasonably quickly. It is rather strange that Carnival requires paper for the boarding pass but they printed one out for me and it all went smoothly.

Long Beach is one of my favorite cities in California! The Shoreline Village is beautiful, peaceful, and has plenty of activities for the whole family!
