On the way back from Vegas. Craving Mexican food around rest areas.

Food was WAY over priced for a burrito. Liquid mess of watery stuff and burrito falling apart. I tucked back in the bottom where lots fell out including the watery guac.

My daughter chicken was dried boiled shredded chicken that much have been prepped days before. The soft taco was stale.

Everything was gross. This confirms other reviews.

I will never come there again. $24 for 1 taco and a nasty burrito.

Lola's kitchen has been a favorite amongst the locals for decades. It opens at 4am. A place where you can grab one of their delicious "grande," burritos to go, or dine in for a hot breakfast with a cup of coffee. Lola's menu has all your favorite Mexican entrées. Price point $$

This place is a hidden gem! I’ve traveled a lot to different places and looked for little local spots like this. A place where it has that home cooked flavor. This place has it. The red salsa is dank! And the Breakfast Burrito was delicious and quick. I’ll probably be back to try more.

Excellent…the chicken enchiladas with green sauce knocked my socks off. The green salsa is perfectly balanced, and the chicken is tender.

I planned my stops from the central valley on the way to Las Vegas. I came across this place just browsing Google maps. Had good reviews and I liked the menu. The food delivered spot on. I had the Jose's machaca and I only wish I lived closer, as this would be my new breakfast hangout. My family all enjoyed their food as well. Very authentic, inviting and delicious! I would have given it 5 stars, but I was disappointed they did not serve micheladas.

Popped into Lola’s Kitchen for breakfast. Friendly happy service, tasty fresh food, home style, clean and good value. Huevos Ranchero was simple but full of flavour and really nice. Breakfast burritos fantastic. Enjoy.

For what its worth, the food is good, it's just not great.

My biggest complaint is, I ordered the #5 (Chile relleno & tamale) & a fountain drink and it totalled $29 (before tip). I really shouldn't be feeling like I could eat an entire new plate of food for that price. So, I wish the portions were bigger, or they should really drop the prices. If nothing else, throw a bit extra rice and beans to help fill us up a bit more.

The relleno was mediocre, relatively small in size and flat. It took about 4 cuts before I hit the cheese filling. Like I said, it tastes fine, not great... just lacking in substance.

The red sauce for the relleno was great

The chicken tamale would transcend if they used dark meat chicken. I can't stand white meat for these things, kind of tacky and dry, but the flavors were acceptable at least.

I did enjoy the homemade chips and salsa.

I am from central Northern california, in the Bay area I could probably find this plate with this quantity of food on it for about $16. Quite a large mark up here compared to one of "the most expensive" areas in the USA. Prices Def need to come down a bit. I would not return for that alone.
