We had our 45 High School Reunion there this past Thursday and Rita and her staff (Fernando at the bar and Karen overseeing the food) were excellent. The reunion was designed to be low key and a meet and greet event. Rita’s team put us in the back bar and the set up service and food were amazing. Fernando handled the bar with grace and ease as 46 seniors descended upon him for libations. Rita stood watch and managed her team perfectly… hats off to Rita and her team. Go there folks..

We’ve been loyal customers for a long time, and Maazil has always been our favorite waiter. Unfortunately, we’ve noticed a decline in service recently due to a new staff member — a young, thin woman with long hair. While she is efficient when it comes to bringing the check (probably because of the tip), she’s otherwise absent and unhelpful. This has really affected our overall experience. The food and hookah are still fantastic, but the service, especially with her, has been disappointing. If you can get Maazil to assist you, you’ll have a much better experience. We hope management can address this issue, as it’s starting to impact our enjoyment.

I've been a loyal customer here, visiting frequently to study and enjoy treats or lunch after my 30-minute commute from college. I’ve always had good experiences until today. I went to charge my devices and sit for a moment, but a worker with short hair told me I couldn’t sit at a table before ordering and had to leave. This has never happened to me before, and the interaction felt targeted, especially considering I had only been sitting for less than 3 minutes. If I had been there for over 10 minutes, I would understand, but this felt unfair, and given the way the situation unfolded, it left me feeling as though I was being treated differently. Unfortunately, this experience has left me dissatisfied, and I will no longer be returning, which is disappointing given my previous loyalty to the store.

The new Living Room, La Jolla is a beautiful venue. There is an outdoor patio, followed by a beautiful coffee shop, followed by a huge dining room, followed by a gorgeous lounge with a big beautiful stage.
Every meal I have had here has been wonderful. The drinks are great. We love the karaoke show, we love dancing there.

Living room has always had a spot in La Jolla, but they moved into a new place so I thought I’d check it out. They did lose the view of the ocean, but the space is much larger for the entertainment that they provide on Friday and Saturday and the menu of food has expanded.

If you are coming here for coffee, I would recommend going to another place. Being a big-time coffee lover, this place is alright, and there are better places nearby. If you do come here, I would recommend going with their teas instead. The plus of this place is that it is open late, but I think the negatives are bigger. The place smells like smoke and attracts smokers since it is connected to a hookah lounge, so it's not a nice atmosphere. The server also up sold me on the macaroons, made me buy 2 ($6), and they were not even good. Overall, it is not a friendly, cozy, or family atmosphere. Would recommend going somewhere else if you can.

Disrespectful and rude workers. Sat down for 1minute and this rude employee comes up to tell me, I couldn’t sit without ordering… never have I had this experience and none of the white people around me got that comment. Didn’t even get a second to think of my order. Ive been here a number of times but this is definitely my last. Short hair lady - negative tips for her. Won’t be returning and never recommending this place again. Hope that expresso machine burns away all your bitter. -.-
