Recently stayed here while in town to celebrate my son's engagement. This little hotel truly delivered beyond what I anticipated. Since I was staying here solo, I opted for the twin bed. I knew the room would be on the smaller size, but it was perfect! The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. This was probably the first hotel I have ever stayed at where the AC was virtually silent and ensured balanced air flow. An added feature of the hotel is the cute and clean rooftop lounging area!! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here when visiting NYC in the future. Best kept little secret!!

I recently stayed at Little Charlie for almost two weeks and really liked the hotel. Yes, the rooms are pretty small, but I found them also really cozy and they provide more than sufficient space to individual travelers. Also I found the rooms really smart designed and spaced so no luggage is getting in the way.
The location is perfect - in walking distance to UNHQ, ferry, grand central, and two super markets are right at your door step.

Overall, I had a comfortable stay. The rooms are small, but for a solo traveler more than sufficient. I found the room to be well designed and spaced really smart considering its compact size.

I am not claustrophobic, but probably wouldnโ€™t recommend the rooms for someone who is. Unless you have one of the street facing rooms, youโ€™ll find that the windows in the rooms that face the side of the building are VERY small (think bathroom window small). Again, this wasnโ€™t a problem for me but I think the small rooms coupled with the small windows that face a dark alley may be difficult for some (I also wonder what the fire escape plan is with those small windows)? ๐Ÿค”

The only real suggestion I have for the hotel is to add a MICROWAVE option somewhere in the building. I get that the rooms are designed small so having a microwave in each room isnโ€™t feasible. But AT LEAST have a microwave down on the 1st floor where you serve breakfast. This is NYC; we visitors are bound to have leftovers from all the great eateries around there. I had to throwaway some quite expensive leftovers because there was no microwave (despite there being a fridge).

Super cute hotel with AMAZING complimentary amenities! Free continental breakfast, wifi, mini fridge and luggage hold after checkout. The double queen room was at the back of the hotel so we didn't have the road noise which was nice. The room was basic but clean. I liked that it had wood furnishings rather than carpet/fabric as it made the room feel cleaner. The toilet was tiny though, and I felt there could have been more outlets for our family of 4 but we made it work.

There were plenty of places to eat nearby which was handy, we went to Patsy's pizza, John's Coffee and Ermina's grocery (the spinach pie at Ermina's was delicious!).

The hotel was also within walking distance of Grand Central Station and about 20 mins walk to Times Square. It was perfect for a budget stay, without feeling like you've compromised cleanliness or safety for a better priced hotel. In fact it was probably cleaner than some of the bigger hotels and I felt very safe.

The beds were incredibly comfortable and there was a surprising amount of storage for a room on the smaller side. The staff were extremely helpful too. I'd definitely book again if I ever come back to NYC.

I stayed for one night and the experience was excellent. Staff was very helpful and nice. My room was small (European style) but efficient; Super clean and comfortable. I am told they also have larger rooms, but mine was good for one person with luggage. I highly recommend it, especially for the price point. I will definitely be back!

Wow! What a lovely stay. Staff were so pleasant and responsive, even when they were not at the desk. The room was clean and neat, and more spacious than we thought at first. The rooftop area was so quiet and pleasant, and the natural light in the room was a great touch. So close to grand central as well as the Amish grocery store. Definitely my favorite stay in New York so far.

Great little place in a great area, close to everything. The beds are super comfortable!! Room is tiny, but has all you need. Walls a little thin, but other than that everything was good! Cute lobby area with free grab on breakfast snacks from fruits to croissants and coffee/lemonade. Their service is spot on! We had a late flight and their self-service instructions to check in was easy and stress free! Will definitely be back on our next trip.

I have love this little hotel. Excellent service. The room, while very small was wonderfully designed. Reminded me of Japan. Room for everything. Great bed, little fridge, towels, dryer and clothes steamer was a nice extra! Roof is beautiful. Everyone very kind. Morning coffee was actually delicious along with pastries and fresh OJ.
Safe, quiet and walking distance to Grand Central Terminal puts the city at your feet.
I will definitely return.
