Pleasant and quaint eatery. I chose to eat outside on a lovely day, the heat lamps kept everything pretty nice at the table. I had the Ortega Chile burger and added bacon. Everything was well cooked and put together. Would recommend as a nice stop in before/after beach/aquarium trips

Got the curried tofu scramble and I thought it was good. I prefer crumbled tofu in my scramble, this was cubed so the flavors didn’t infuse as well. Other than that I thought the seasoning was quite good. The potatoes were very good and crispy. My friend ordered the buttermilk pancakes and she loved hers. I tried some of her chai as well and that was wonderful. I’ll have to order it next time.

Had a little stop in on our road trip around California. Such a welcoming cafe with fantastic service and beautiful atmosphere! Food was absolutely delicious and was quickly devoured.

Nice home style breakfast. We opted for the specials homemade corned beef and hash along with eggs,toast. We also had the waffle fruit ( best with local fruit in July). With strong coffee ☕️ only half a cup for me. In addition, an open omelet with fried potatoes. Plus a home made cinnamon muffin ‘think’. Place was packed on a weekday morning, mostly tourists us included. Tip: Cash or check only.

As always, post wherever you end up, so we all can decide to visit or not.

Friendly small diner in downtown Santa Cruz. Cash only, ATM inside. Be prepared to wait a little, we waited about 20 min for 2 on Sunday at 10am. Great daily specials,staff friendly. Cinnamon Rolls looked dry but weren’t, they were divine - a must try (included in most entrees instead of toast). Highly recommended!

Popular diner! Lovely server recommended pumpkin cupcake and cinnamon roll which were delicious.
Tofu fun was just fine. Huevos rancheros, OJ were great and so was egg Benedict (with avocado)

We visited Seabreeze Café for breakfast after discovering it on social media. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately, and the busser promptly took our drink order and provided menus. Shortly after, our server, who was very kind and attentive, offered additional coffee options. We ordered three breakfast dishes, including the Chicken Apple Sausage Breakfast Platter.

While the food was enjoyable at first, I unfortunately found a hair in my breakfast potatoes. This immediately ruined my appetite, and my daughter, concerned that all the potatoes were prepared in the same batch, also stopped eating hers. I brought this to the server’s attention, and while she was courteous and took the plate away, the resolution was simply a small discount on my meal. This experience was highly disappointing, as food hygiene should be a top priority.

On a positive note, the cinnamon rolls were excellent, and the service was pleasant. However, I believe the restaurant should take greater care in maintaining food safety standards. Additionally, they only accept cash or checks, though there is an ATM available inside the restaurant.

While I appreciate the hospitality, the presence of hair in my food was unacceptable, and it significantly impacted our experience. I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve its food handling practices to prevent similar incidents in the future.
