My husband and I were on a cross country roadtrip and found The Lilac house online. What a find! After sleeping in a variety of hotels and motels this was the first B&B of our trip. It was such a nice change to be greeted by an open door and a smiling face! Pattie gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner and then provided a wonderful breakfast. The room was comfortable and all the vintage decor was a welcome change to all hotel decor we had been seeing. From the carafe of ice water placed outside our room to the excellent breakfast. The Apple Pattie was our favorite, made from apples grown on the property. But the heirloom tomato was a fresh addition as was the homemade peach and strawberry jam for our toast. When asked Pattie was happy to give us a history of the house and town. Great stay!

Pattie was such a great host. We were in Siren for a couple days and needed to be up and leaving by 7:00am one day. Pattie accommodated our early start and had a small breakfast ready for us even though she doesn’t normally serve until 8:30am. The next day we didn’t have to be up early, so were able to enjoy Pattie’s actual breakfast. And let me tell you, enjoy we did! It was so tasty and homemade and fresh. The garden room was very clean and just what we needed. Thanks again to Pattie and Neal for all the work they put into a wonderful Bed and Breakfast.

I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a kind and loving Christian woman. I have stayed a couple more times since then. Patty is like a real friend. I get greeted at the door, she is a good listener, and she makes amazing breakfasts and sometimes I was blessed with a bonus meal, just when I needed it. It's the little things and she goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay! She is one of a kind. We need more people like her in the world. This is what a Bed & Breakfast is supposed to be.|Walking distance to town, Crooked Lake Park, and a walking/biking path. I received good service at the Fourwinds Market north of town and I also joined a very welcoming mixed Al-Anon/AA group at the New Beginnings Alano Club on main street. |Siren...small and sweet.

Lots of room for guests a living room with fireplace & formal cozy dining room plus quaint sunroom. Pattie & Neal are friendly, helpful, made big tasty breakfast. Walking distance to lake & town. It's quiet place, beautiful gardens & water fountain in back. A relaxing place especially nice weekend getaway which I did. I stayed in lilac room nice size with big cabinet fit all my luggage. A connecting big bathroom with jacuzzi & serving table with crystal cups & pitcher of water. Nicely decorated with antiques.

We had the perfect stay at the Lilac Village! There was nothing that could have been improved upon. Our room was so quaint and well apportioned. All the furniture (and even much of the decor) are period pieces, so it feels as if one is stepping back in time. Make sure to ask Neal and Pattie about the history of the house! They are gracious hosts and we felt like family while we were there. Patricia's breakfasts are to die for!

Wonderful bed and breakfast! Very hospitable hosts and charming atmosphere. Amazing breakfast and the owners were very accommodating for our family. Best to stay in late spring when the lilacs are in bloom!! Our stay couldn't have been more perfect timing for this! The grounds smelled amazing. If you love lilacs then this is the place to go!!

My husband and I decided to travel up north a day earlier than planned for memorial weekend. We were looking for a quaint place to stay on our way up to Trego, WI. Being memorial weekend, you can imagine that everywhere was booked. This b&b had an opening, and they were accommodating to let us arrive later in the evening and helped us get situated in the room with our son (13 months). The next morning coffee and breakfast was served and we enjoyed the beautiful gardens before packing up and headed further north. Would definitely recommend this lovely little b&b and would stay again!

Staying at the Lilac Village Inn was so delightful! The lilac room is so wonderful and the tub so great! The whole experience of a beautiful house decorated in the '30s era and the vintage pink glass dishes for breakfast made it also a vintage retreat, which I love. The gardens and lilacs were blooming, 24 varieties they have in this town named "Syren" originally, Swedish for lilac. A perfect B and B; and right across from Tesora restaurant. And the host Pattie is like what you imagine a B and B lady to be, straight from the movies, cheerful, hospitable and free-spirited.

This was a one night stop for us as we transitioned from the Apostle Islands area through the St Croix Scenic River area down to LaCrosse. Wish we had stayed more than one night. While the Best Western is within spitting distance - but you just can't get a better cozy experience like staying at this place. My husband and I joke that we stayed with "Cousin Patty and her husband Neal" - because they were just so welcoming and we felt like we'd known them for years. The house is adorably decorated (where did they find carpet with lilacs) and the breakfast was fantastic. They even gave us a big fresh tomato from their garden and a knife to take with us so we could cut it later. It just doesn't get better than this. BONUS - there is a wonderful restaurant within easy walking distance.
