We loved the remote location and access to so many beaches and hiking within 30 mins to 1 hour of the cabin. A week is not enough time to explore all the areas that we wanted to see! Fort Bragg has a Safeways (where we bought food items that we forgot to pack) and a Round Table Pizza (which is a treat since we do not have one near my home). We made good use of the kitchenette. WiFi is $45 for the week which we required since we had to work a couple days from the cabin. Since we were paying for the internet, we also brought a streaming device for entertainment and had no internet speed issues. If we didn't need the internet for work, we may have chosen to just rough it. ||The cabin is cute and heated up very quickly. The tub was amazing! I rarely get to relax with a bath, so that was really nice and it made up for the fact that the hot tub and pool were not made available the whole week. I still do not know why and the girls at the front desk did not appear to know anything about it. ||During our week, we drove up to Fort Bragg, down to Gualala, over to Anderson Valley. We went to the Botanical Gardens, Mushroom Walk class, wine tasting at Bee Hunter, and many Beaches/Coves/State Parks! We saw lots of mushrooms, redwoods, and even a waterfall!||It rained every single day, but we brought all the appropriate rain hiking gear and got to see spectacular waves caused by the storm.

One of the things I love most about the location is that this is just far enough from the Bay Area to make it a bit less trafficked than say Bodega Bay for comparison. I love Bodega Bay by the way.

Lighthouse Point Resort has taken trailers and converted them into mini one bedroom apartment cabins. That's the best way I could describe them. They are well maintained and the grounds are as well. You have your own porch and can barbecue in the common space if you wish. My family used this place as our launch point for adventures for a whole week. I found the grounds to be quiet and peaceful. It's nice not to share walls with other people the way you do in a hotel. My kids can be loud and I felt less concerned about them having themselves a good time.

The place is nothing fancy- just clean and has everything we needed. If you are looking for something fancy then maybe look elsewhere.
The workers on site were friendly and helpful but we didn't really need anyone for service other than to ask for extra supplies for the room.

My family does a lot of camping so my wife was so happy to have a private bath and kitchen. To be honest I was too. There is also on an on site coin operated laundry.
This was my first opportunity to visit point Arena and the surrounding areas and all I can say regarding the natural beauty is that it is really hard to beat. You can't go wrong exploring the coast anywhere near highway 1 truth be told.

The location is awesome if you want to get out and explore by foot. You can hike all around and leave for long walks and hikes straight out of your cabin. We explored all the nearby beaches and the lighthouse as well. I highly recommend for someone looking for something affordable and a huge step up from camping. Especially so if you want easy access to unrivaled natural environments and coastal beauty. I definitely want to come back for another visit down the road.

We really enjoyed our time. I was bummed the hot tub was not in service, especially since I could see steam rising from it! But we had the best cottage, right on the end with a beautiful view of the hills and the lawn.

Nice place enjoyed the beaches and hiking. It was a solo trip loved the fire place.||The small towns around were nice had everything you need. Only complaint is the hot tub was not hot luke warm water not worth the time. Staff friendly. Would definitely return.

Great site and spot, if you like lighthouses and spectacular ocean views, wonderful winding redwood roads, good food, and fine Mendocino Anderson Valley wineries. Cozy, comfy, quiet cabin, Handy dandy Last Cafe Before Hawaii on site, ocean view restaurants nearby, wonderful wineries through winding redwood roads. O say, we did see a refreshing retreat on our from sea to shining sea odyssey.

This area is kind of off the beaten path, but it's a cute place to stay if you don't care about not having a view. Beds definitely need to be upgraded as well as linens - while the rest of the unit is reasonably upgraded, the bedroom is tired.

The unit was recently remodeled and clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. However, the only issues were the beds are not that comfortable and the pots, like the tea pot and another pot were rusted. I requested an exchange, but I was given the same or a similar one.

My family and I had a good, relaxing time here. There were plenty of amenities to make our time more convenient and enjoyable. However, we were surprised to see the pool out of order, wall paneling falling apart, the mini fridge not keep food and drinks very cold, and the air conditioning would not stay on consistently.
This place was not something I would ever think of calling a β€œresort”.
