Discovered this place while looking for a spot to have breakfast and read a chapter. What a find! This place has a rich atmosphere with this Route 66 theme that doesn't feel at all pretentious owing to it's scruffy urban feel. There's a feeling of history here, a bit of hand painted sign peeks out from under a neon replacement that feels like layers. The interior has these tall expansive booths covered with a Route 66 themed fabric that would look out of place anywhere else. It feels old but we'll cared for. The staff could not have been more warm and welcoming with a kind of edge, toughness that feels like classical diner waitress without feeling cliche. I was surprised and pleased to see a Greek influence on the menu! I ordered a Greek breakfast dish that was served with a deconstructed gyro that is simple and works really well. The joint (it feels a bit Noir) was not packed, but full and very busy both times I've been here — obviously a popular spot. And it just feels comfortable being here. I'm from North County and only get down here occasionally, but I'm in love with this place and look forward to breakfast whenever I'm down this way.

MY favorite place to eat 😋 😍 the food is delicious, they have a lot of parking. They served Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also I want to thank lorena and Wendy for the great serving they give to the clients I will definitely recommend this restaurant 👌

Was craving a savory/sweet home style breakfast and am so glad I came to the Lemon Grove Cafe. I’d already nearly finished the pancake before remembering to take a picture - it was fluffy, moist, rich, perfect as a pancake can be!

I got the chicken fried steak and eggs with extra crispy hashbrowns, and it was absolutely delicious. Loved the breakfast, ambiance, service, everything. Reminded me of the hearty breakfasts I’d have back home in Texas cafes. Will absolutely be back!

I ordered a senior breakfast. Two pancakes, two scramble eggs and a surprising one turkey sausage patty. I also ordered a cup of coffee. Two waiters walked around at different times to warm up customers coffee but they never came to my table. One of the waiters served me initially, so they knew I ordered coffee. The coffee cost $6.50, so much for a senior pŕice. So there was NO tip rendered.

Always feel good here. Not your run of the mill ( meal) waiter’s and waitress’s! Really enjoy the meals and appetizers. I often forget the beers are tall : ). Service timely and often good with conversations! One of our 2 Lemon Grove favorites!

Can't say enough about this place! The wonderful Staff. Special thanks to the cooks and our kind hearted Waiterss Wendy this woman has such a talent for attention to detail. Atmosphere inside and out is such a hidden gem! Super clean! Yummy yummy food. Don't miss out on one of the hidden food mom n pop place in Eaat San Diego were the locals go.
