Previously Guesthouse Inn|We rented standard double queen. |For the price- it's great value. Rooms were updated from the last time we were here 2 years ago. Our room was cleaned very well. Although I always do a once over still anyway - clorox wipe, spray of alcohol on bed and iron the pillows and bed. Floors and bathroom was clean.|The ac/heater works but loud if you're a light sleeper. |Pillows literally was a square. Beds were firm. |Room 127 didn't have a closet but it had a bar /hanger thing at the corner of the room. |Breakfast was ok. No hot foods. Waffle, toast, bagel, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and boiled egg. They kept it clean and stocked.|Decent accommodation for the price. |Friendly front desk and housekeeping staff.

Great location and value. Friendly service. Rooms in good shape. Rooms opposite I5 facing east must be more quiet. I was surprised how muffled the highway noise was even on the highway side.

This is a basic motel but my room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for the shower, and it was a good value for the money. They have a nice continental breakfast in the breakfast room, too.

Positive: Cheap with complimentary breakfast and close to where I needed to be Negative: Room was mostly fine but had bare minimum. No cups or anything for making hot drinks, even hot water. Breakfast was also quite barebones although they still have waffles. Road noise was also very loud in the room.

We travel to Bellingham several times a year, and this was our first time staying at the Guesthouse. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet our expectations.

While the price was reasonable, several aspects of our stay were disappointing. I had specifically requested a king-size bed in a quiet location, but we were placed in a small room right next to the front entrance. The noise from the breakfast area and laundry room made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep, which was far from the peaceful retreat I had hoped for.

We also encountered some logistical issues. Despite being two adults, we were only provided with one room key, which was inconvenient. Additionally, we weren’t informed that housekeeping only services rooms every other day. This lack of communication was frustrating, as we had expected daily cleaning.

The breakfast, a feature we were looking forward to, was only available until 9:00 AM, with the room locked promptly afterward.

The Wi-Fi was another significant issue—it was unreliable and frequently disconnected. While I didn’t need to work during this trip, this could be a major problem for other guests.

Lastly, the room itself left much to be desired. While the bed was clean and comfortable, the space felt outdated. The floors, in particular, were unappealing, and I was glad to have brought slippers since walking barefoot wasn’t an option.

Overall, while the Guesthouse has potential with its reasonable pricing, the combination of noise, outdated facilities, limited amenities, and lack of communication made this stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.

So I booked a room at Lavissh Inn. My reservation was for Feb 9-10, and I booked it so I could sit back and enjoy the Super Bowl. At first, I had some trouble with figuring out which TV controller to use to get to the right channel (Fox). However, I called the front desk and the nice young lady there walked me through the process. She was very professional and extremely nice. And, like I said, I was pretty excited to lay in a comfortable bed and watch the Super Bowl.

But a few seconds after pulling back the sheets to my bed and pulling the covers up to my chin, I smelled something. It was putrid and I recognized it right away, because I used to work as a cleaner for a dog kennel in another state. But even though I knew what the scent was, I still had to find out where it was coming from. I looked under the sheets, but that was all clear. So, I tried the bathroom and it too was all clear. So as I went back towards the bed, the scent grew stronger. I decided to look under the bed, and there it was. A ooshy gooshy turd.

Now, I was shocked. So shocked that I immediately went to the front desk and told the staff about it. And I asked if I could change rooms. There response was that someone from housecleaning would be there ASAP to take care of the situation. And I replied that I really did want to change rooms and asked if they had any empty rooms I could move to. And if not, could I please have a refund? Staff restated that it was not there policy to allow guests to change rooms once a room has been assigned. Staff went on to say that giving refunds was not their policy either. And, I then asked them again if I could change rooms or get a refund given the situation. And I asked if a supervisor could be contacted. Staff reiterated their policies.

So, as the game was minutes away from starting, I used Expedia to book a room with a different biz. Now, I am not sure if keeping to these policies are SOP or not, but I will say that I used to regularly stay at this inn a few years ago, then called Guesthouse Inn. I'm not sure if there was a change in management or ownership, but I will definitely not be staying there again. And I hope that anyone reading this would think again as well.

The rooms were filthy! I also witnessed a gentleman who left his room who was next to me try to get his deposit back and they refused saying they have no record of him. They accept cash which is very suspicious and the people who pay with cash are all of a sudden a non existent guest. The manager is extremely rude. They have no ability to look up transactions apparently as well. Drug addicts come in and out of this place all night animals barking and pooping in the hallways. I reached out to the “owner” because the manager wouldn’t talk. Also said I should call the police if I needed assistance. Gave me the wrong email as well for the “owners” this hotel is horrible and I would rather stay at a motel 6! Very very odd someone can’t look up your transaction history from when you stayed! This hotel will soon be shut down eventually due to the customer service on the managers part as well of the owners and how disgusting this place is. Health department and the BBB should get involved. AVOID THIS AT ALL COST! Go across the street to the other one!

Alright service and accommodations for the price! It's refreshing compared to 90percent of the other hotels off the samish area. Those slumlords make me question how they are still in business after seeing this place . Thank you guest house for showing your customers a fair service for their hard earned money.!Too many other lodging facilities in the area that claim their providing a moderate service for the cost, yet upon arrival being horribly disappointed,at least this motel doesn't lack in its energy and dedication to provide as much as possible in such harsh and financially tough times for our country.
