Absolutely excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming inn in northern Virginia. Everyone we encountered was super pleasant and helpful. The food was truly phenomenal, especially the wonderful breakfast spread featuring fresh-baked croissants, homemade jams, delicious quiche, perfectly cooked omelets, and more. Dinner was also an exquisite experience with a creative and inventive menu. Our accommodations were very comfortable, making for a truly relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

Wonderful. We went for our anniversary March 2024. I thought I posted a review before, but apparently I didn't complete it. This place was sooo outstanding, I had to make sure I put it down in writing! The pictures say a lot, but can't come close to the actual experience. The owners are hands-on, They are quite a pair. They really know the meaning of hospitality. It is a true gift and talent. Celeste offers a spunky welcome and had plenty of suggestions for activities and sightseeing. My husband enjoyed talking about everything automobile related with Alain. The only thing that would have made the trip better is if the area around the property was as scenic and upscale. The surrounding town has seen better days. It looks like the remnants of a "Mayberry" type town.

0ur stay was wonderful! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was unbelievable, from homemade croissants and jam for breakfasts, casual bourbon tasting and burgers along with exceptional fine dining options and an extensive wine list. The location was ideal for our planned activities including local hiking and a winery tour provided by the inn which included a delicious picnic lunch. Highly recommend.

I grew up in Clarke County and could think of no better way to celebrate a milestone birthday than here! Every expectation was met, and/or exceeded. The room, the grounds and the bar/restaurant are impeccably kept and staffed. We dined in the dining room our first night and our cocktails were skillfully built before us, we enjoyed them very much!|Thank you for enabling this memory that I’ll treasure forever.

We had a lovely, rainy getaway for Valentine’s Day—definitely a memorable one! Breakfast was delicious, with the chef’s omelet and poached egg both cooked to perfection. The zucchini bread was so tasty. The service at the main cabin restaurant was warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. The views were picturesque and made us feel like we could write a novel looking out the window. And of course, seeing Finigan and Grace when we arrived was a highlight!

A wonderful inn with beautiful scenery! The room service was top-notch, the romantic package being the cherry on top. We were able to reschedule our dinners times with ease, the wine tasting tour was amazing, and the personal accommodations made for us made us feel welcome! The food is incredible with complex flavors and dietary adjustments were easily accomplished. We will return!

We arrived for a November dinner to celebrate a birthday with high expectations. The restaurant is nicely appointed on the first floor where the Inn is also located, and adjacent to the bar. I opted for the fixed price menu after a brief exchange with our younger waiter. While the food was good to very good, the portion size was so small as to make me yearn for at least twice as much to satisfy my appetite. The fish course was outstanding, while all of about 3 bites. I would've enjoyed an opportunity to more fully engage the waiter, which I attempted several times. I was unsuccessful as his time at our table was never more than 1-2 minutes before leaving on an evening when the dining area was about half full. I've experienced much better value, and better conversation and guidance with wait staff, many times over the years at other establishments.

Had a recent stay for my wife's 60th birthday and, overall, the stay was wonderful. Great location and the staff were very easy to work with. We made an adjustment to our room selection and it was handled like a "none event". The restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay (which we knew ahead of time) but the breakfast's were outstanding and the picnic lunch was perfect. We'll definitely come and enjoy the establishment again!! The staff was great!!
