Im so happy my partner and I found this spot tucked in next to the Starbucks! The gluten-free pizza was spectacular and my partner liked their sandwich so much it was gone before I could snag a photo 😂

Tiny spot serves BIG taste! Stumbled on this place on a foggy La Jolla day. Part owner Sarp from Turkey is charming, honest and generous. Will eat here again and again!

The pizza is incredibly delicious! We are visiting from London and I think it’s one of the best pizzas I’ve had in a while! Margarita pizza was out of this world. The crust, the cheese, freshly sliced tomatoes👏👏 My son lived his Meat Lover Pizza as well🙌 You can tell they value using quality ingredients. Amazing job! Hats off to the chef for creating such high quality food in this cute little corner hut. Lark and Owl is in the adorable neighbourhood of Bird Rock and it is 2 mins walk to the beach. We’ll go for dinner and go for a walk to see the sunset next time👍My daughter tried the smoothie; rich & yummy!!! The goat cheese salad with green apples and candied walnuts was delicious and ingredients were very fresh! Recommended for beautiful night out or for take out👍👍

I went to Lark and Owl today and ordered the Goat Cheese salad and a caprese sandwich and let me tell you, everything was delicious!

I came here for dinner with my family. We ordered goat cheese and Caesar salads and pepperoni and Margherita pizzas. The salads were very good, especially the goat cheese. The spinach and beets were super fresh. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, but the Margherita is steer clear of—it was kind of bland overall.

Ordered two different sandwiches and a smoothie and loved all of it! Perfect mix of flavors, high quality ingredients - exactly the type of sandwiches on French baguettes we were craving! Also felt like a lot of food for the price, which was appreciated in this area. We will be back for sure 😊

Have you been to the smallest restaurant in San Diego?! Located in the heart of Bird Rock Lark and Owl specializes in not only amazing smoothies and acai bowls, but also great pizzas, sandwiches and salads. Matt the owner takes great pride in all his dishes and even sources his ingredients from the farmers market.

🫐 Acai bowl: acai from Brazil, topped with fresh fruit, coconut and granola
🥤 Smoothies: creamy and filled with fruit. Definitely get my favorite the date smoothie
🥗 Goat cheese salad: beets, strawberries tomatoes, walnuts, balsamic glaze
🥗 House salad: green apples, cranberries, gorgonzola cheese, pepitas, tangerines, balsamic glaze
🥪 Caprese sandwich: fresh tomatoes and mozzarella with pesto sauce
🍕 Blue Cheese: sun dried tomato, mushroom, fresh arugula
🍕 Meat lovers: pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon

Lark and Owl is few minute walk to the beach so you can enjoy all this amazing food and catch the sunset too!

Just don't!! Ordered Spicy Chicken Sandwich with sauce on one half and Acai Bowl. First the chicken sandwich had sauce on the whole sandwich. The girl working there interpreted the one half to mean only on the bottom half.... The Acai Bowl was frozen Costco Acai, over sugary granola, a few slices of banana which had some strange sugary liquid on it and a few blueberries and strawberries. The Acai bowl tasted like a 5 lb bag of sugar so was not eaten. They brought another chicken sandwich which I didn't trust so that was not eaten either. Stay away.
