As a solo traveler, I felt very safe during my stay. The grounds are very nice & well kept. My room was very clean & my bed was very comfortable, with very nice bedding & pillows. The breakfast area is very nice with great food choices. The staff is very friendly and the office manager, Elizabeth Rivera, was very nice, professional & accommodating to my needs. I definitely will stay here again!

The wheelchair-accessible room with a king-sized bed and a bathtub (room 107) worked well for me. There was enough room to move around in my wheelchair in the bedroom and bathroom. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers were too high on the wall to reach if you're sitting in the bathtub. (See photos)||The bathroom towels were soft and absorbent. ||I was pleased that there was a refrigerator. It would have been nice if there had been a microwave in the room too.||Both people I spoke with at the front desk were friendly and helpful. ||It was a convenient location for going to San Diego State University and a reasonable price.||I would stay there again.

Elizabeth and Vera were amazing! They made everything seamless and quick. Rooms were great and clean. Pool area was clean and inviting. Next time we come from Seattle we will rebook this inn. Parking was easy. It would be nice if they offered a choice of a firmer pillow. Overall great experience!

We have been staying at the Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU for a few years now, and it is definitely our go to hotel in San Diego. It is probably the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. The beds are very comfortable. The room is set up perfectly with plenty of room. We appreciate that the shower/toilet area is separate, so one person can be showering while another person is getting ready at the sink/dressing area. There are plenty of towels already furnished in the room. No calling down for more towels, especially when your reservation tells them how many people are staying in the room. The lobby is set up nicely, and the staff are professional and friendly. Free breakfast is offered, which is a plus. It's everything you'd want for a comfortable night's stay.

First, price is affordable. Since we are here for a cheer competition in Viejas Arena, location was perfect. The front desk is very nice recommending late night good food we can eat since we arrive late. The manager, Elizabeth is very accommodating as well. She did go above and beyond to accommodate our request. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

Decent place in a college neighborhood. Older, but fairly well kept. Pros: The staff was very cool and very helpful. Con: The TV situation is dismal. It's an older DirectTV system and I could only get about 5 channels, only political news shows, no local channels. I was there several days and it never improved. Another Con: even though the complex was fairly quiet, every single thing in my room made noise. The Heater/AC had an incessant ticking that affected my sleep, the toilet had a drip in the tank that could be heard from the bed, and the fridge was noisier than most. Even though I had a white noise machine, these things disturbed my ability to sleep in peace.

A very Comfy and Soft bed. Lots of channels with Cable TV. Full Kitchen facility in the room for some meals in. Good continental breakfast including hard boiled eggs and waffles. Courteous and friendly staff. CLEAN! The manager Elizabeth is great! 🤗❤️🙏
