we stayed at lamplighter inn for one night. when we arrived there was no one at the desk, but eventually someone came. there were some sketchy people around so we decided to go to our room with our luggage before exploring. the room was ok. We had 2 big beds but one of the beds blocked off a part of the room so we had to climb over the bed to get to the microwave. the room was not that clean. the beds were kind of sandy inside and the bed covers were ripped! the bathroom was clean enough. the location was good. nice views of the lake at sunset. it’s near trejos diner for breakfast and there are a couple other places around. Typical American motel if you are looking for an experience.

This place was perfect for my needs. Inexpensive, clean, conveniently located to where I needed to go. Staff was great and very attentive. There was always someone available and promptly attended to any needs.

It's right on the lake and the view from the parking lot can be pretty breathtaking in the morning after a rain, just as the sun is peeking out over the lake.

This is the worse hotel/motel I have stayed at. Normally I do not write a review but for this place I feel like I need to for future travels.
When I arrived they put me in a room that was not a regular room. Very small, wires hanging out of the walls, there was no lock on the door so I had two guys try to come in and they even had a key. I went back to the office and an hour later I was moved to a different room. This one was much better then the first one. However I had stained towels. The neighbors are very loud and play their music loud this was around midnight. A fight broke out and the cops were called. You are by the lake but really can not enjoy it due to all the trash. Not a safe place or quite place to stay.
I would not recommend this place

Reasonably priced motel on the lake. The grounds are a bit run down but the room was comfortable. Could have used some better pillows though. Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot included. You can fish off the dock in the back. I saw an otter swimming around back there. Pool was closed and there's no breakfast included

OK so here Is the deal with his place, on the outside it looks like a run down crack motel from the 80s. The inside of the rooms aren't in good shape if u get the weekly rate rooms the family suite is nice and the other rooms the ones in the hall aren't. They have weekly rates that come out to about 440 a week. And they work with you. The man is so nice and understanding. The wife isn't friendly at all, but after staying there many times. She will have come to tolerate u or like u herself it's kinda trapped out tho Everybody in this hotel knows each other so u constantly have people in and out of each other's rooms or people coming to visit people staying there. It's got a lot of traffic. The old maid is a raging lazy b who doesn't like to work. God forbid you ask her for a clean towel your response is "ya later. I'm busy right now" and my dude had to clean the room when we first got here it was so filthy. So I gave it 3 stars because I had to stay there a few weeks in a row and they respected my privacy, worked with me when I needed more time to get money, the husband goes out of his way to make guests happy. The negative one star is because of how the place looks, it had potential of being a good hotel of you remodeled the place.

At first it seemed just a bit old and run down but a quick easy fix for a long day and being lost in the middle of the night. No deposit, something you expect when from Vegas, and cheaper than the search results rate. Also had a pretty cool view of the lake from the property and what could have been a nice quaint picnic setup, or chill spot with a fire pit. The check in guy said it was a "smoking room" and it might as well had been smoking because it's all I smelled the whole stay. I can't put into words what it was like finding the towels we were supposed to use. I've never seen anything like it in any room I've ever stayed in. We were tired and needed somewhere to rest and it was that. We checked in between ,4 and 5am so when a bang in the door came shy if 11am, my bf called up front to ask for a late check out and basically was told for $10 we could stay another hour, half hour for$5. Flabbergasted me. But he paid and I took the cash and the towels I wasn't ever going to even touch to the office and offered it to the guy and asked how much for towels clean enough to actually use. What struck me odd was he didn't even act surprised by the condition of the towels just told me to see his housekeeper for new ones. I tried to see the positive in this stay but it was made to hard for me to. Not recommend unless quick, easy, and I guess cheaper by comparison is what your looking for.

Clean rooms and great view. I live locally and have driven by several times and always wanted to check this place out. Glad I did it was very relaxing. Didn't hear anyone through the whole night and slept like a baby. Loved the view of the lake from my room.
