This historic lodge was everything we hoped for and more!|We had a fireplace room with a lovely view of the lake. |The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. We loved the friendly lobby to play cards or read. The Roosevelt Room was delicious and accommodated my allergies. I enjoyed the heated indoor pool every day we were there, almost all to myself! |The Giant Spruce hike was right down the road!|We will return again πŸ˜€

I stayed here 15 years ago, and it's a shadow of its former self these days, with shoddy management and poorly-kept facilities, it's clear that it's being slowly run down and sadly falling into disrepair. These things need to be said, and someone who has an ownership stake or the power to influence change around the property NEEDS to see this, it's all factual and accurate: The carpeted flooring in the restaurant needs to come out immediately, shut the whole place down and tear it out and replace it with a hard, cleanable surface. It absolutely reeks of bacteria and uncleaned spills and septic grease tracks from the kitchen. The food tastes like it was cooked in a place that has disgusting smelly carpet floors that are never cleaned, it's terrible. The rooms are also literally the same as you'd get in a reasonably standard Motel 8 outside of Boise or something. There is absolutely nothing nice or special about them at all, using cheap, very very low-quality toiletries, ancient misshapen beds, dirty carpet, popcorn asbestos ceilings, power outlets from the 1950s that don't work well or at all. The bottom line is it needs new ownership and an overhaul. It is an absolute masterpiece of a property, and has more potential than just about anywhere I've ever seen. It needs to be properly maintained and preserved by someone who knows what they're doing in the hospitality industry and infuses it with real care and pride again. Currently it feels like it's being run by unconcerned local amateurs who take no real pride in the place and are under-staffed and struggling to keep it all afloat. I will say that the housekeepers did seem to be working hard, and the linens and towels were nicely cleaned. I just think there's not enough resources to go around or something. Dunno.... but it was really disappointing and would have been even if we'd paid 1/3rd of the price. A far cry from its classy, regal, outstanding legacy.

Lodge has a very pleasant and large lounge room, with nice back porch overlooking the lawn that slopes to the beach. Good lake views from the back of the lodge and a row of lawn chairs that guests flock to at happy hour. Virtually no cell service; free internet limited to 30min. (No TV, although this was known.) Bathroom sink is in the room, not in the bathroom. Pricey place given the lack of connectivity. Breakfast coffee was excellent and biscuits good, and you can’t substitute toast.

Nestled in the heart of the Olympic National Park, the Quinault Lodge is truly a hidden gem that offers breathtaking beauty and stunning views. From the moment you arrive, you are enveloped by the majestic sights of the surrounding forest and the tranquil waters of Lake Quinault. The lodge itself is a charming blend of rustic elegance, with its wooden beams and cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful getaway.
The panoramic views from the lodge are simply enchanting, especially during sunrise and sunset when the colors reflect softly on the lake. The extensive grounds also provide plenty of opportunities for leisurely walks, allowing guests to take in the lush beauty of the area. For anyone who enjoys outdoor activities, the lodge is conveniently located near numerous hiking trails and scenic spots, making it easy to immerse yourself in the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest.
When it comes to dining, there are several nearby locations offering reasonably priced food options, including local diners and cafes where you can savor regional specialties. For instance, you might check out the nearby Lake Quinault Lodge Restaurant or the local Q's Restaurant, providing enjoyable meals that fit a variety of budgets.
However, one feature that would enhance the overall experience at the Quinault Lodge is the inclusion of complimentary coffee, tea, and water for guests. It’s a small touch that can make a big difference, especially for those who appreciate a warm beverage while taking in the serene surroundings. The absence of such amenities was a bit disappointing and might detract from the overall relaxation experience.
In summary, the Quinault Lodge is a beautiful destination with outstanding views and a serene setting that truly embraces the beauty of nature. With a little enhancement in guest amenities, it could reach new heights in providing a memorable experience for visitors.

For the $250 price tag on the rooms outside the lodge,I expected more. The was a plug in heater in the room, which was unexpected. You get 30 min of free wifi per person, which never worked. Not impressed! We did have a view minus all the trees in front of the window. The lounge area in the lodge was inviting. Decided to skip the fancy pricey restaurant and go for drinks and pizza. They got the order wrong and the pizza was overcooked. We ended up only staying one night and stayed the second at a place with an ocean view for the same price. I understand that alot of it is about the experience, but for the price I expect more. Oh and the coffee maker overflowed the next morning. I think someone had left water in it because I only put in half a cup. On a positive note, the area around it is beautiful and there are lots of places to hike. We did 5 miles up the Colonel Bob trail and checked out Merriman Falls.

Was a wonderful relaxing experience! We stayed 2 nights and had a double queen lake view room on the ground floor. It had a Keurig and a mini fridge. A beautiful view of the lake and mountains from the room πŸ˜„ I have no complaints. We had breakfast at the Internet cafe in Amanda Park and it was great! Will be back and will recommend to anyone who loves nature and truly wants to unplug!

Pictures are incredibly deceiving my wife and I booked 3 nights here and left immediately. A hotel that charges 250 a night that can't cater to more than 30 minutes a day is ridiculous. We walked in room 201 and immediately we're met with a nice smell of piss and upon further inspection found stains on the bed pillows and floor. This place I kid you not was less clean than a little old motel that you can get for less than 100 a night. We went to the front desk and we're told oh we're full we can't move you. (understandable). So I asked for my money back because we were not staying. NOPE couldn't even do that. If you value your sanity and don't want to smell the odor of piss I advise you to look elsewhere the place was built in 1920 and I feel like they have done little since then in room 201. I'm only giving this place one star because you can't give 0. Save your money go elsewhere.

Location:
Lake was beautiful, paved paths from lodge to beach and lakeside rooms but best lake photos at salmon house down the road if clouds clear at sunset
We were in a lakeside room for two nights, 2nd week of April, with great beds, great towels, bedding, and a view but
Heat:
Radiator did not work at all, brrr
Not for arthritis sufferers
Morning staff very nice gave us a space heater
Beds:
Upon arrival, headboard cover already ripped
Amenities:
No room phone so no way to reach the front desk from the room if something is wrong
wifi service available for $16 but only works in the lodge
No microwave, no clock
No electrical outlets between beds/nighttable
Fridge never defrosted so no room to freeze anything
Coffee machine barely held a half cup of water
Note: keurig model designed for European demitasse only
Services:
No housekeeping offered, so ran out of cups
Front desk staff too new to be really helpful. They claimed maintenance came to fix radiator but no improvement
Meals:
Breakfast not included
Made dinner reservations for 6:30pm, food arrived after 7:25
Outside:
Rain poured from roof right in front of balcony
Puddles of water everywhere, no drains on driveway or parking lot
Value:
For the price? Not worth it
Summary:
Neglected upkeep
Limited upgrades
Stay somewhere else if you prefer the 21st century and use internet to look for attractions, directions, or coffee in the area
