I just wanted to say thank you to Rynn at the front desk for her help answering all my questions while booking my recent reservation. She was very kind, polite, patient, helpful, and professional. I truly appreciate all her assistance in guiding me through this reservation. We’re so excited for our stay at Laguna Surf Lodge, and we’re off to a great start!!!

Been visiting this hotel since 1982. Absolutely loved this latest stay as Laguna Surf Lodge owned by SCP Hotels. From check in to check out, everything and everyone was superb. Thanks for the exceptional service Kyle, Tyson, Gabe and Jimmy. Love you all. Until next time.. ❤️

The location of this vacation rental is perfect as you can walk everywhere and it's on the ocean side. You do have to go down 92 steps to get to the beach, but well worth it. The ocean view rooms cannot be beat. We enjoyed our stay very much. This is a no frills place as it's a timeshare property but the staff is always nice and helpful.

It was an amazing location! Beautiful area, the rooms, or at least the one we had, was extremely outdated. The toilet clogged the whole time, so they gave us a plunger.
I feel they need to let people know where their room/unit is located. We were hoping for an ocean view but definitely didn't expect the patio balcony to be facing the street. A busy one and the bus stop is right out of our balcony. I would not recommend this unit but the place is nice enough and a great location overall.

Well. You pay for a bed. And a bathroom. Nothing more. No coffee maker, microwave, or TV. There’s construction going on. It’s loud. So you basically have to leave the property to have any quiet and enjoyment. Beach and views of course are incredible. But if it’s cool outside, then what? Comically expensive now for much less than what you got at the Riviera. And I had to wait till well after 7 am to get “amenity” coffee that should have been ready at 7 but nobody had shown up yet. So, all in all, if you like being treated like a 12 yr old on punishment, stay here. We won’t anymore.

Pro: Great location, and reasonable price for the location. Room is spacious and clean.
Con: No 24hr front desk, might be a little confusing for first timer if you want to check-in after office hour. Terrible wifi signal.
All things considered, will probably stay again if we visit this area.we

Super friendly and helpful staff and in a perfect location. We loved that it was right on the beach, easy to walk down the steps to the sand, and sit on the benches and terrace to watch the sunset. It is in the heart of downtown with tons of restaraunts and art galleries to walk to.

The resort looks good on the outside; good structure and paints. The inside is like a cheap hotel. The building is ocean front but the room is shoddy. No kitchen table.The patio has the dining table which you cannot use on a rainy day. The kitchen is described as a full kitchen but very small and the breakfast counter can only accommodate one counter height chair. The sliding bedroom door cannot be opened completely. Very small bedroom and the flat screen TV in the bedroom was just nailed to the top of a corner cabinet. The bedroom drawers in the BR is only 3 inches thick while the rest of the drawers protrudes in the area that was supposed to be the dining room. The ocean view rooms are for owners only when reserving 13 months out. Two things that are positive- the 1BR suite has 2 bathrooms and they were both newly renovated. There is security parking. Our room was facing the street right in front of two gasoline stations. We checked out the next day and wasted our week of timeshare exchange. No drop box available as we checked out on New Years Eve. I believe were better empty rooms available but I was not offered to us since it would be better to rent it. We couldn't sleep from the street noise. The clothes cabinet are old and dated. The second floor facing the street is a mezzanine between the second and third elevator. So their is no elevator in our unit.
