I had a fantastic stay at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa—it’s the perfect getaway for families! The ocean views are breathtaking, and my child had a wonderful time swimming. The resort offers great activities like bike riding and pickleball, adding to the fun.

Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection of high-quality options, including a build you own omelet station. A special thank you to Erin at the front desk—she truly understands what families need and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. I truly appreciate her thoughtful arrangements.

Highly recommend this resort for a relaxing and family-friendly experience!

This was a very nice hotel that is well positioned for all of the restaurants, beaches and shopping in Dana Point. Our check-in was great and well-handled by the front desk as I asked for a change to one of the rooms as I booked multiple rooms. Parking is expensive, but they tell you up front what the cost is and all of the people there were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is well situated with a great view and the waiters took exceptional care of us. It was chilly (since it's December) and the fire pits and heaters were a wonderful add. The restaurant and drinks lean to the pricier side, but based on the location, should not be unexpected. The rooms are nicely appointed and well- sized. The pool area is also well done and the jacuzzi is nice to have for the cool winter evening. This is a nicely-done 4 star resort hotel and I wish that people who write negative reviews because they didn't get their "platinum status ring kiss" would talk about the hotel and the people there rather than the fact that they didn't get some upgrade they felt they were owed. The area is expensive so plan for that. If you want to stay at the Ritz or Waldorf, they are 2.5-4x the price.

You can't ask for a better location for viewing the ocean and soaking in the tranquility of Dana Point.
Ask for a room facing the sunset to see magic happen!
Service has been impecable!
Rooms feel newish and are comfortable.
You can walk or bike (2 hrs complimentary as part of the resort fee) to many nearby attractions like the harbor, downtown and the beach!
Aĺ in all a great experience! Would book this hotel again!
(Only minus parking fee of $52, this should be less!)

I booked this trip for my moms birthday and they exceeded our expectations. First off, thank you to E. Cattaneo for surprising my mom with macarons, a birthday card and CHAMPAGNE in our room! It was a nice surprise and we appreciate it. Second, to Yolanda who works at the Front Desk; she was able to help me out with my request in providing us a room with an ocean view or balcony if there was availability and she gave us BOTH…for no additional fee! the staff here are so welcoming and friendly and genuine! Also shoutout to Nina at the Spa, my mom LOVED her facial and the time you guys spent talking! Can’t wait to come back

Located on top of a hill overlooking the cliffs. Beautiful resort with plenty of outdoor and indoor space. Rooms are immaculate and views are splendid.
We enjoyed our stay. Take a stroll in the morning, noon, evening or night - it is just as spectacular around the property.
There are a couple of parks around the property and all within walking distance.

Great place. Great location. Some great staff. Early morning October 20. Fantastic.

One staff member should not be in service industry. His resentment and dislike was evident. Specifically on Saturday October 18 our group using 3 separate room reservations. Ages 4 to 78. One of our party arrived with both cane and walker. Bell man came out helped the valet get some things out and then returned to bell stand. The taller one with dark hair stood laughing with his younger blond trainee while the guest stood by his car , helpless to get his walker up the stairs. As an older guest myself I had been waiting. I saw the entire incident. I went to the bell desk. I said. Help is needed. He can’t get in. The older dark haired taller bellhop told me that I should have a better tone of voice. Only then did the two stop giggling and help one of the older members of our party finally be able to enter the property. There is a ramp far to the end of the entrance but no one from the bell desk showed the way to the ramp. I asked to speak to the bell manager but was not given the opportunity.

I tip well. I also never leave bad reviews.

This was my annual holiday lights trip. I wanted to see the harbor lights, after reading about for many years. I had an ocean view room, the hotel was quite festive. |I am a loyal Marriott member, and this property did not disappoint. My room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. Not to mention the beautiful Vista!|Outdoor fireplaces for the cool night and a short walk to the harbor down " the stairs " |If you are looking for a nice " get away ", I highly recommend.

Great hotel with an incredible view. Nice clean room and overall nice hotel layout. Special shout out to the front desk manager that took care of a travel agent discrepancy. You will not be disappointed by the scene at this hotel. Restaurant and bar overlooks the ocean which makes for a world class sunset
