4 nights of a poor enviroment and a bit of hell because of neighboring hotel - La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites and La Valencia Hotel hid this from us when booking, knowing we had a young child (4)||||It seems La Valencia will happily charge you to get a sea view and charge you premium meanwhile knowing very well La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites host rooftop Weddings many nights of the week back to back which comes with festival echo and noise until 10 or 11pm every-night, starting at 5pm. We paid to upgrade for sea/coastal view which was essentially booking a stay next to a night club. This is just a poor not equal cost environment for the price you pay.||I will avoid La Valencia in future as we desire nice quiet environment when settling down for the evening

We stayed at the La Valencia this last December, we celebrated my birthday and also booked breakfast with Santa for our daughters. Everything was perfect. My husband and I already have plans to book the same weekend next year. ||To start Mark greeted us at the entrance with a cold glass of champagne. Ana and Joey were so sweet. They made check in a breeze and gave our girls a “special treat” of a box of chocolates, making them feel so fancy. They surprised us with a bottle of champagne and card sent up to our room for my birthday. The next morning we had breakfast at with Santa which I would 100% recommend. Our waitress Michelle is as so attentive and patient with our girls, and the Santa was one of the best we’ve seen. ||We were really impressed by all of the staff we encountered, and loved the character and vibe of the hotel. Chain hotels just can’t compare to this boutique hotel - a piece of San Diego history. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I have been coming to La Valencia for almost fifteen years. We've had many great experiences and visit almost annually. The remodeled rooms are tremendous and the views are outstanding. The food, bar and Walkable location is top notch, and there's so much to do in the the village. I'd highly recommend it!

Stayed in a villa during the winter holiday. Comfortable beds and nice rooms with an attached deck. Although the hotel I had many staircases as it’s on the side of a hill the views and scenery make up for it. Fair warning though that the seals do make a smell and it wafts back to the hotel although 150 yards from the ocean. Great food and amenities and service too.
The lobby smelled great, it was spritzed every so often; soft jazz is also playing at all times too.

This location is fantastic for dogs, featuring a dedicated dog menu. The views are breathtaking, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Nikki at the front desk provided excellent recommendations on places to visit and activities to enjoy. Whenever I want to escape Manhattan Beach, I will definitely return here.

Only stopped here for a quick drink after dinner at George's and it was very pleasant. It was dead when we walked in, however within 10 minutes it was busy. There was a young lady who was the musician that was just fabulous. She played guitar, piano and a couple other instruments. It was at the perfect volume and the waiters were attentive. I would recommend for a lounge in the back.

La V is a magical place. Gorgeous, charming and approachable without a hint of snobbiness. The light on the hotel with all its stunning tilework is really a work of art. The pool area centres the hotel and is an exceptional area with Mike fully in control with aplomb, grace and kindness.
