Outstanding spacious and clean room. Well appointed and high quality furnishings. Quiet and able to get a nice sleep. Grounds are well tended and very secure. Staff from greeting to support all pros. I’d go back again in he event I’m in area. Well done.

I have traveled a lot, but I have never experienced such terrible service!

First of all, there was a railway right outside the window, and the noise was so loud that sleeping was impossible. Trains passed by all night, and the room had no soundproofing at all.

We stayed at the hotel for three days and had already booked the same room for another 14 days. However, when it was time to extend our stay, we were forced to move to another room, only to move back to our original one later. They didn’t even let us stay in our room for a few extra hours before the transfer! We had to check out at 11 AM with our child and luggage and wait outside until 3 PM to check into another room. This is completely unacceptable!

The staff showed no understanding or willingness to help. They simply didn’t care about their guests. If you want a comfortable stay and decent service, I strongly do not recommend this hotel! The worst experience ever!

The staff was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and truly made my stay enjoyable. I also appreciated having a delicious breakfast and access to a comfortable lounge, which was a great perk.||||However, I was extremely disappointed to find that there was no prior mention of the hotel being directly adjacent to an Amtrak train that runs until 10 PM. The noise was unbearable, making it impossible to get any rest. My room was in the concrete building, which had a strong sewage odor, and I couldn’t open the window for fresh air without the entire room shaking from the passing trains.||||To make matters worse, I had the pleasure of listening to three barking dogs in the neighboring room. Despite informing the front desk, I was told nothing could be done since they were classified as service animals. Even after requesting to be moved, I was denied an alternative room.||||While the service was excellent, the overall experience was frustrating and disappointing. If noise and comfort are a priority for you, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

After 5 hour drive and no reservation they got me and my wheelchair bound husband in a room within 15min no hassle. We got to rest and we’re ready to go well rested next day. Two guys in front were very nice. It was totally wheelchair accessible downstairs husband was able to go and get breakfast in am no hassle either.

What a great property! It’s very conveniently located with some restaurants and convenience stores right next door. Part of the hotel is in an old grain silo and it’s so cool - much more unique than just a typical hotel room. The staff was friendly and accommodated an early check in and late check out with my Wyndham Diamond status. The property is pet friendly with lots of grassy areas. Also, the jacuzzi was a very nice surprise. The jets were very powerful, water temperature perfect, and lots of clean towels. We will most certainly stay here again when we need an overnight in the Irvine area.

I arrived late Monday evening. Before my arrival, I received a text message and email with a pre-check-in link. This was very convenient, especially since I had just landed after a terrible flight, surrounded by sick passengers. By the time I landed, I had developed a severe headache/migraine. I provided my information and credit card details through the link, expecting a seamless check-in process. When I arrived at the hotel, the front desk simply asked for my name, and within seconds, I was handed my room key—quick and hassle-free.

First Night – Room 128 (Barn Building)
The hotel consists of two separate buildings: the Main Building and the Barn Building. I was assigned a King Bed room in the Barn Building. While the building appeared to have been recently renovated, the updates weren’t particularly aesthetic. The walls and ceiling were concrete, but the floors were carpeted. The room itself seemed clean, and initially, I had no complaints—until I realized my window was right next to the train tracks.

Whenever a train passed by, the entire room vibrated, and the screeching noise was unbearable. Given that I already had a splitting headache, this made my night miserable. A freight train passing in the middle of the night was the worst—it lasted about 2–3 minutes, with intense vibrations and noise. I wanted to switch rooms, but I was feeling too unwell to even get up. Unfortunately, I was woken up at 7 AM by yet another passing train.

I immediately went to the front desk to request a room change. The staff was understanding and promptly moved me to Room 208 in the Main Building. While I could still hear the train, it wasn’t nearly as bad as my previous room.

Hotel Amenities & Surroundings
The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and coffee. Their breakfast selection included waffle/pancake batter, various types of bread, fruit, juice, oatmeal, and cereal. While it was decent, I wasn’t overly impressed.

In terms of location, the hotel is surrounded by three restaurants and a gas station: Knollwood Breakfast, Denny’s Diner, and Jack-in-the-Box. Convenient if you need quick food options.

Second Night – Room 208 (Main Building)
My second night was significantly better. The new room had two double beds instead of a King, but I didn’t mind since it was my last night. The hotel itself is quiet (aside from the trains), and I finally got a decent night’s sleep.

Overall Experience
My stay was okay, but had I done more research, I probably would have opted to pay a little more for a better hotel. If you’re on a budget and looking for an affordable stay in California, this could be a suitable option. However, if you’re looking for a more comfortable and well-located hotel, I’d recommend paying extra for a higher-quality experience.

Convenient location if you need a place to stop for a night near LA or Irvine. However, the rooms were really dingy and dirty, including stains everywhere
(even on the bed!). We had some trouble getting the heater to work overnight, and they don't leave an extra blanket in the room, so since it was so late we just dealt with it. The walls are also quite thin so you can hear other people easily. I know it's a budget hotel but clean and everything in working order is a bare minimum standard.

I wouldn't stay here again unless I really need to.

The staff was quick and friendly, probably one of the fastest check ins I’ve completed.

The historic silo was really cool to read about and even be able to stay in.

The overall room was pretty gross with stains on the carpet, beds, bathroom. I found the beds to be small, but comfortable. I was nervous of how clean they were due to the rest of the room.

The bathroom was not in great shape. It was a pain in the butt to get in and out of the bathroom with the way the door was designed. The shower was badly stained/dirty and the pressure was absolutely terrible.

The hotel has a train that actually runs and is so loud.

I woke up so swollen and stuffy.

I would not stay here again.
