Koin coffee has a very unique atmosphere and great staff. I have to acknowledge, this is one of the larger space coffee shops in the Bay with plenty of seating. On top of that, it is very clean and well maintained.
Now for the coffee review. There is a state of the art La Marzocco machine. The coffee itself had some very bold notes. I was a bit bummed out my latte felt watered down even though I ordered with whole milk. Personally, I expected a creamier texture.
Overall, I do recommend anyone in the area checks them out.

So happy to have a local coffee shop in the Shadelands area. From house-made syrups, to locally-sourced coffees, to a clean, relaxing community space, the hard work and care of the founders and staff are evident.

One minor warning: There are few outlets, so if you are planning to work in this beautiful space, come charged up, or ready to engage in real life. 😉

My personal favorite is ordering a cortado for here. (pictured)

Koin Coffee has everything you would want in a coffee shop: great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, spacious seating, cleanliness, great service, delicious artisanal pastries, good to-go options, trendy merch, and a play space for kids in the corner. This is the type of place where people can comfortably gather and make meaningful connections. The owners of Koin are beautiful people so make sure to say hi. Highly recommended and hope this coffee shop becomes your new favorite in the East Bay!

I love this place so much! As a coffee lover and a toddler mom, I struggle to bring my toddler at coffee shops but me and my toddler love it here. I love that there’s a toy area where kids can play and be occupied while I enjoy my coffee and breakfast. I also work here at times. The only con is there aren’t enough outlets. That doesn’t stop me for being here almost everyday though. Other than that, customer service, coffee, and the vibe is a 10 for me.

One of our favorite places to have a cup of coffee. The staff is all super friendly and helpful, the owners are so sweet and amazing! Great place to sit and work, relax, hang out with friends, or just grab a cup of coffee and go tackle the day. Also has one of the best London fogs I've ever had!

So excited to have a new coffee shop nearby and not have to trek into downtown Walnut Creek. My iced chai was delicious and they had dairy free milk options! They also have a case full of pastries and sell fresh sourdough loaves. They were sold out of the loaves by the time I got there, but excited to try to get one another time. They have really cute merch and a few shelves with cute gifts to buy. Will definitely be back!
