We just stayed here on a family reunion and to say it was an epic trip is an understatement. The location is amazing! Being beach front, with tons of eagles and sea otters.
The rooms are cute and themed with very hot water, tv and WiFi not that we used them because there is so much to do just on the beach. With fishing, walking the beach, waterfall, fires on the beach, and just exploring.
The main lodge was big and open with tables and chairs to all eat together, put puzzles together and play cards. If your looking for the Hilton this is not that but if your looking for an incredible Alaskan experience then you will love this place!!
My family is already planing on coming back next year.

Unbeatable views and location! So so so good! We had bonfires on the beach every night with the volcanos in the horizon. Epic. The room was huge, bed comfortable and bathroom was beautiful.

Sue and Derek made us feel like family. Remarkable hospitality and a perfect location for us. Also, very rare to find a place as pet friendly as this. Will definitely be back.

My family (10 of us) rented the whole lodge to celebrate my husbands retirement. This place was advertised as high end lodging. It is not even close! We arrived to what is now called Beach Front Lodge, to a disgusting dirty lodge. Nothing had been cleaned prior to our check in. No staff on site at all to rectify this issue. One owner lives out of state and the other was on vacation. We spent our first afternoon cleaning the whole kitchen in order to prepare food we brought with us. Dirty floors, filthy kitchen, trash laying around. Guest rooms were no better. Missing electrical covers and light fixtures. Dirty under wear was found in bedding in one guest room.

This place has potential to be a nice place but has a long way to go to be high end lodging. Views are great. Only good thing going for it at this time.

My Family stayed there June 2021 and it was AMAZING! The views are beautiful and staying right on the beach was so fun for my kids to go explore at each tide level. We stayed in the "Bear" room and it was big with an extra pull out for the kids, the shower head was fancy, the closet was huge with tons of storage, and the view (with a small balcony to enjoy it) was breath taking! The main lodge was comfortable and fun to hangout in, but the wrap around porch is the best part to enjoy their view! We fished right from the beach and caught halibut from the boat right in front of the lodge. We loved it and plan to go back soon!

We had an excellent stay at King Halibut Lodge. Right on the water. Views, views, views. Nice place to stay and explore the area. They booked our fishing excursion with a guide service. We had a great time.

I don’t think you could possibly choose a worse place to stay than this one. The owner is arrogant jerk who is one of the cheapest people on earth. First of all they served for lunch the left over food from two days prior. They don’t have water and they turn off electricity at 12am. They don’t stock your room with toilet paper. The only guide they had was the owner who couldn’t take all the people staying there out at once so you have to sit at a nasty resort all day with no power water or tv or anything to do. the steal your fish that you catch and keep it for them selves there was blood on the sheets and they don’t clean the rooms the staff is some of the most un educated people you would ever find. The food is canned nasty food it’s a 1960 run down log cabin. All the gear they provide for fishing has holes and tears in it. You have to remind the staff in the morning to make your food and coffee. There is no phone service or WiFi at this place and every customer there was complaining about it not just us. Please go anywhere else but this place I truly have never been at a more unorganized disgusting place and the previous reviews are from the owners friends and family. I don’t normally ever write reviews but I feel bad people pay a lot of money to come to this place and it is more than a waste of money.
