With misgivings, I had to take a smoking room with my granddaughter. Rarely have I seen bed linens so crisp. The bed and pillows were comfortable and showed no wear. The motel has been updatedith clean hard surfaces. Our room contained a microwave and fridge with separate freezer. I did not observe a coffee maker and they did not serve a breakfast. The manager says they outsource the sheets and wash bed through, towels, and shower curtain daily. It was a clean and comfortable stay.

Im not exactly sure why people have an issue with this place. I was here from 7/29-8/1 with my truck broke down and there wasn’t a sign of any bugs. No roaches, no bed bugs, nothing and i took the place apart looking for them. The front desk guy who checked me in was friendly and so was the cleaning staff. They clean the rooms every day and are quick about it. There were no off smells in the room, nothing was dusty and overall I mean, the room was very clean. I would 100% stay here again.

They also have semi truck parking here as well for my fellow drivers.

I live outta town, but am from the shoals area. The room was ok, and the cable channels were awesome, but the strict rules about guest are just too much. The cleaning staff was fast and friendly, but the office staff could use a class in customer service.

Didn’t make it to a room. Site shows pet friendly however depends on size of
Your pet according to desk clerk. I explained our German Shepherd is a service dog. He said management required paperwork proof. Evidently they are not aware that a true service animal does not have paperwork. Unless you buy fake paperwork online. Per ADA guidelines only thing you can ask : (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task. So it’s against the law to ask for paperwork. I’ll contact corporate and let them know we were turned away.
If your turning people away because of pet size you need to have that on you site also.

*** per ADA you cannot ask for documents because there are none to provide. You need to review ADA guidelines. ADA service animals are needed and non documented. Need to research!!

My husband was staying here while in town for work. We visited and stayed for a week. I liked that they came and cleaned the room every day. Some of the nicer hotels we’ve stayed at don’t even clean the rooms every day.
There was no pool for the kids but there are other things to do not far down the road that we found.

Have stayed at Key West in Fair Hope which is why we selected this one. Mistake. No comparison. A shabby, poorly maintained place. Hard rails on the stairs are so filthy you don't want to touch them. 1 hand towel for 2 people. Cigarette burns in the bedspread (non-smoking room). 2 hangers, 1 coffee bag. while we were out for breakfast someone on staff went into our room to "collect towels". Spend a little more and find a better place. Als on major truck route so bring ear plugs.

I am a occupational therapist and I work for the department of veteran affairs. I was charged with helping a purple heart disabled veteran and his certified service dog with finding room and board in tuscumbia al for a few hours one evening. He needed to rest for a few short hours and was willing to pay a full night rate just to be able to do his dialysis for a few hours before getting on the road. You're making a reservation, and speaking with Sid the owner three times no less. We drove through a tornado and a torrential downpour and after 12 hours on the road we arrived. They turned us away because they did not want to give us the handicap room for one night because the owner had a date and wanted to use the room. They said they do not allow service animals although all the reviews say they are pet friendly we presented all the necessary credentials and were told that they do not have to acknowledge nor follow the policies of the law supporting Americans with disabilities. They laughed at me when I told them I would be writing reviews and exherting effort to make others aware of the experience that this disabled veteran was subjected to. Thank goodness he went to war several times so foreigners can hide behind the Constitution and use it against those who deserve to have their rights protected and reserved.
