Amazing place with lovely patio and beautiful lodge-style interior. Everything is about the area, history and connection to the community. I appreciate this attention and contributions to the land. Everything is made of wood inside. Great place for stopping by on the way to Sequoia National Park, King Canyon or Kern River campgrounds.
The beer is great! There is a choice for everyone: from stouts to IPA, from sours to lagers.
Attention to the details is what make this place special. I order flies and they were presented in the kayak-trays. Isn't it awesome. Food is also good.
Service was great. Fast, friendly and helpful.

Excellent beer, great service, good food, great atmosphere. Nothing like sitting on the patio looking at the mountains with a cold beer here. Dog friendly patio. They have plenty of vegetarian or vegan options, you can basically sub anything on the menu for a veggie substitute and they have beyond pattys you can sub also. Always a fun stop, you can count on the friendly service. Grab a growler Togo to enjoy later too! They have awesome merch.

We got a classic bacon cheeseburger and their sequoia red ale. Let me tell you that that was the best burger I’ve eaten so far in the us, perfectly cooked,
All the ingredients were balanced,
the bread wasn’t overwhelming just the right texture and amount,
the meat was juicy … what else to say? Oh yes, outstanding waffle fries, great service and really nice location.
Go try it yourself… run!!!

I’ve been here a number of times, and each time the person who served me was impatient. It was awkward to tell them to wait. Asking them for condiments like ranch or any other sides like jalapeños was like asking them to give a pint of blood too. Friends and I were discussing how to split the bill, it took us like three seconds to decide, and the blonde cashier girl asked us, “what are we doing here?” with a sharp tone. As if she was frustrated, she had to wait. “Anything else?” “What else do you need” with pursed lips and a hurried attitude. She was the same girl who served us when we asked for ranch and jalapeños. She also had an older man bring the whole table ranch and jalapeños when only two of the four of us asked for it. Just seemed a little passive aggressive.

I’ve had the big daddy burger every time, expect for this last time. The pulled pork sandwich was dry and had little to no flavor. It was dry too, no bbq sauce. The fries are great though! The atmosphere is always a great experience.

It’s just been an overall collection of poor service experiences. I’ll stick with the big daddy burger next time.

It was super busy tonight yet the staff made this out of towner and his wife feel right at home. The Kern Burger was cooked to perfection and the waffle fries were alil too hot, Be warned they dont get fresher then that. Chill vibes good food, relaxed servers not pushy. Check em out

Get the fried pickles, it's consistently crunchy and tasty. I always visit here cuz the beer is truly craft and changes. Decor is great but the service is blah, the food is just okay. Garden salad was good but the wings were blah and the chili was dense (if ya like that, great). Overall, just go if your looking for something fun and uniquely local.

Cute place to enjoy a meal and good drinks! Service was amazing, our waitress so attentive. Beer and root beer so good! So enjoyed our time!! Great place to relax.
