The staff is very friendly and helpful. We needed a kettle to cook water and it was delivered to our room very quickly. The staff also helped us with ordering Waymo since we could not install the app on our phones. Also you can refill water (flavoured etc.) or soda in the reception. Coffee / teas is provided in the morning and a glass of sherry in the late afternoon. The location is perfect, maybe 100 meters to reach the cable car station, many restaurants and the China Town nearby. You can reach the pier and Fisherman's Wharf within a 30 minute walk.||The room and entire hotel is a bit older and old fashioned. There is no air-condition and you cannot open the window (more than 10 cm wide due to security reasons).|Still it was a good choice to explore San Francisco by foot.

We picked the Kensington Park based on its location, which is extremely convenient to BART, but will return because of how well the hotel is run. It's not a huge place, but the lobby is charming, the staff was uniformly pleasant, and our room was quiet, comfortable, and spotless. We appreciated small but welcome touches such as two folding luggage racks and a lobby dispenser for filling water bottles. Excellent value.

Hotel location was great, close to Union Square, with a bike parking spot right in the corner, close to good restaurants and stores. Shower pressure and hot water was perfect. Room was very clean and comfortable. They were able to received packages for guests which had to be signed for, and had luggage storage for checkin and checkout. Overall a very good experience.

I had to go to San Francisco for a memorial of a good friend and stayed at the Kensington Park Hotel is the best place ever. While was some issues with a smoke detector and a lamp, everything else in the hotel was fantastic. The staff is courteous and the rooms were very clean and nice and willing to stay here many other times.

I've stayed here a number of times and the staff has always been friendly and polite. The room is clean and the bed is one of the most comfortable ones around. You can't beat the location as Union Square is right outside its doors, there is a theater within the hotel if you want to catch a show at SF Playhouse (discounted for hotel guests), great eateries nearby, as well as plenty of public transportation options to get around the city. ||The only thing I've noticed that needs improving, depending on the room you stay in, is the water temperature consistency in the shower. It's an old hotel so some rooms on the lower floors seem to have it fluctuate more than the upper floors.||One fun bonus to the hotel is the water system they provide in the lobby. Free to use, bring a reusable water bottle and you can stay hydrated with a variety of waters from the machine.

Great value in beautiful historic building. Elks Lodge serves awesome Sunday brunch. We will be back to see a play, take a swim and enjoy the clean, spacious comfortable rooms. Excellent location. Only 1 mile walk through Chinatown to North Beach.

I was here for four days and it was the best decision I made! Traveled with my two daughters and niece and we always felt safe and welcomed. The staff is very courteous, they let us check in a bit early since our flight got here before check in time... the location is the best you could have, a block away from union square, walking distance to the cable car station, chinatown, the modern art museum and a bunch of restaurants and shops... and fairly priced. I will come back and will pick Kensington hotel again! Special shootout to our housekeeper, she was the nicest most honest and polite person, and left our room super clean every single time.

The service and location are exceptional. Guests are honored as individuals in the little and big details. Just a few steps from Union Square and the cable car line and surrounded by fabulous restaurants and a theatre in the building. We return annually and it is always the best experience of the year!
