Their Carne Asada taco is among the best I've had, with high quality fairly tender beef that's been properly marinated and grilled. It's served on an especially tasty type of corn tortilla topped with the usual cilantro and onions (not enough, so ask for extra) along with a mild red salsa and guacamole. It's costly owing to the high quality beef at $6.99, but worth it IMO. I asked for chips and salsa, and was charged around $4.60 for a huge pile of chip and about 8 ounces of their mild red salsa. Maybe ask for just a small side of them. They also have an excellent selection of house-made salsa tubs to go, including all the traditional types, plus some unique creamy and cheesy versions.

This was the first time to trying Kennedy's Meat Co. Also first time trying the dinning menu. We ordered the carne asada burrito and the carnitas burrito bowl along with chips and guacamole. The food was really good the salsa was flavorful although the hottest they had was still not hot enough. They seemed to use high quality ingredients. They also offer pinto and black beans, Spanish and poblano rice. I can't wait for them to open their new location in Temecula which is a lot closer to my home.

Completely Unprofessional and Unacceptable Experience at Kennedy’s Carne in Escondido

We went to Kennedy’s Carne and spoke with an employee who set some meat aside for us to pick up the next day. They even took it to the back and we left our phone number for them to contact us. They assured us they would have more available because we needed extra for a work function and it had to be all together on the company card.

Fast forward to the next day, only to be told NOT ONLY did they not have the meat they promised, but they also sold the meat they had set aside for us! Not only did they fail to keep their word, but they also never bothered to call us to let us know the order wouldn’t be ready. We had to call THEM!

This is by far the WORST business I’ve ever dealt with, and we are absolutely disgusted by the way they treated us. If we had been told in the morning that they didn’t have it, we would’ve gone elsewhere. Instead, we wasted our time and trust on this place. Never coming back here again, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it.

Kennedy’s is one of our go to places. Unfortunately yesterday we went and picked up 3 lbs each of original and pineapple seasoned chicken and it was SO salty ( overseasoned) we had to throw it all away. Tonight I rinsed did the original seasoned ones and gave them a try— still TOO salty. In eatable.

Don't come here thinking you're gonna get this HUGE burrito that you won't be able to finish or you're gonna share with someone. It appeared I was the 1st person to order and when I saw them slap the meat on the grill i saw the small portion of meat and knew this was definitely gonna be a small burrito for $10.76. I should have said No to rice inside the burrito it seems to make up most of what I had. I shared half of this with my 9 yr old son who asked if this was a rice burrito. Definitely not worth a drive up from San Diego unless you're gonna come up buy some meat and make burritos yourself. Wanted to give this place a try since I saw competitive food challenge eater Randy Santel here on one of his YouTube videos. Well been here now. No kids menu. There is a restroom here. Wheelchair accessible. Lots of parking. Clean. Order was taken at the register near the front door and not where the food order was picked up.

This place is incredible. I can't believe I never knew about it before. I had to use the restroom, so I just popped in. As I was leaving, the guy at the counter handed me a menu. When I sat in my car and read through it, it said "You're in for a treat." And they were right!
I got the best rolled tacos - the spicy beef variety. They handmade them right there using super high-quality ingredients. I cannot recommend this place enough. This is an amazing spot that I'm so glad I discovered. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

This ain’t real Mexican food.
Tacos don’t come with cilantro or onion, salsa tastes like Chili’s salsa. The carne asada fries were just drowned in cream. The handmade tortilla isn’t even worthy of anything it’s gummy and sweet. Came here because it was hyped so much and I hated it. Won’t come here again. For the same price you can get better quality, better meat, bigger portions, and actually authentic Mexican taste at Frida’s.

This place is new to us. And only found out because my co worker saw an advertisement on a special huge burrito for 10 bucks on there facebook page! Sadly they were all out of Carna Asada. But offered us the Chorizo instead. A few bites and we were full! We can't wait to go back and try there other foods. They had plenty of parking spots. Easy to find the location from the main street. What makes this place unique that it's a meat market as well. Pretty known to all the local people of Escondido. Very clean , brightly lit location. The staff and cooks were extremely friendly. Overall a cozy and great price experience. As a matter of fact. I am going to eat some more of this burrito! I love these hidden gems in these cities. Bravo Kennedys! Bravo!
