I can't recommend Kenai Backyard Adventures enough. We had Al as our guide, and they were so personable and incredibly knowledgeable about the environment and its animals. The hike was a perfect amount of exercise and sight seeing. I really appreciate the amount of care this company has taken to ensure everyone enjoys their experiences as they have hired fantastic guides. Our Exit Glacier hike was the most amazing thing we’ve ever experienced! Our guide Brandon was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we were all safe and comfortable during our hike. We did ice climbing on exit glacier and it was an incredible experience! What an exhilarating feeling it was to reach the top of an ice wall and look back over the beautiful glacier. Brandon was our guide and made the experience very memorable! He was knowledgeable, intentional, patient, kept us safe, and ensured we had a great time! We highly recommend ice climbing with Kenai Backcountry Adventures to all the adventurous folks out there! Plus, it’s an all inclusive experience where you get to do a gorgeous hike, walk across the glacier, and then climb up using ice picks and crampons (shoe spikes). We felt very safe the whole time with our experienced guide and trusty belay partner! We can’t wait to be back and book another adventure.

We had a great rafting trip! A few of the things that we loved about working with Kenai was the communication, flexibility and the friendliness of the staff! I had a lot of questions before I booked and we went back-and-forth between several excursions. You guys were so patient with me and really explored our options and what was the best fit. Cohen was outstanding on the rafting trip! I highly recommend this! I also got to meet the guides that were doing the glacier hike and if we were in better shape, we would’ve totally love to do that as well. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming! Such a great company!

We booked the Rafting Resurrection River last minute and we had so much fun. It was just me and my mother and our guide Brandon was amazing! He is very friendly, knowledgable, and funny! He even brings hot chocolate. If we ever find ourselves back in Alaska we will absolutely be back to book another excursion with him!

I did two excursions with Kenai Backcountry Adventures! My husband and I enjoyed doing the Seward Snowshoeing Adventure! Brandon took us to a beautiful ice covered snowy lake. It was such a fun experience and so peaceful to get out in the snow. I also enjoyed Winter Ice Climbing!! Brandon is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about all things outdoors! He made me feel extremely safe and comfortable while ice climbing! It was such an amazing experience and I cannot wait to do it again! Great company and great guide!

Wish we could give a 6th star. Brandon and Kyle were the best guides and had the utmost respect for nature and the bears. They used their expertise to position us safely in the environment that made sense. We were never stalking or chasing a bear but interacting and appreciating them. They went above and beyond to help make the weekend even more perfect with a surprise proposal making it truly one to remember. Thank again for everything! We will be back
