We had a great time kayaking around with Abby at kayaking connection. We saw lots of wildlife and some great views of the sunset on the water. Was at a nice easy pace, so we really got to enjoy all of the animals as we made our way around.

I went on a wildlife tour with my girlfriend and we had an amazing experience. The kayaks and gear were good quality and our guide Cam was brilliant. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals we saw, very respectful and responsible for the environment we were enjoying and generally just a chill guy. We saw way more otters, harbour seals, fish and birds pretty close (but responsibly distant except for one curious seal that was hanging around right beneath us) than we expected. Would definitely recommend anyone to check it out!

We went on a Monday and had the slough practically to ourselves, and the birds and mammals all seemed delighted to see us! We were guided by AK, who did a really professional job of explaining the ecological context of the sea otters and much more. There is something about being out in a kayak, which the animals don't seem to view as threatening, and getting close-up views of loons, grebes and shorebirds, while getting close but not too close to the mammals. Again AK did a great job communicating what was appropriate to avoid spooking the seals and otters. All in all, highly recommended!

Kayak Connection offers a fantastic kayaking experience. They have expert guides to lead you to otters, seals, birds, and other local wildlife. It takes a few moments to get geared up but the preparation is worth it to make your paddling more enjoyable. The owners go out of their way to build community. The usual tours explore Elkhorn Slough and its hundreds of sea otters and seals. For the more adventuresome, periodic transits of Monterey Bay provide extended paddles.

Suzy rocked!!! We ended up having a private tour just two of us and her. She was super knowledgeable, fun, and a great tour guide! Just enough paddling and floating to make it tiring but not too strenuous. PLENTY of otters, sea lions, and seal sightings! We can’t recommend Suzy and the Kayak Connection enough!

My friend and I did the 3 hour kayak tour with Kali, and the tour was amazing. We saw plenty of baby and mom sea otters, adult sea otters, sea lions and so many birds. This was our first 3 hour kayak tour, we had previously only done 1-1.5 hour kayaking tours but the tour was easy going. Kali gave was loads of interesting insights about the marine life and the history of Monterey which was super interesting. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

Highly memorable experience! Parking is slim for walk ins but we were able to get set up in less than 20 minutes for a kayak trip that morning myself. The water was beautiful and there’s a ton of wildlife across the water. Bathrooms are porta potty style, so just prepare accordingly.

Staff was really friendly, would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to basically experience National Geographic in real life!!

Highly recommend this Kayak Elkhorn Slough Wildlife tour! Easy Kayaking and there were so many sea otters, harbor seals, marine wildlife and too many birds to name. Our guide - Sam was fantastic! He is a marine biology student and was full of interesting information. Thanks so much Sam! Loved this day!!
